Once Erdogan started courting the Iranians and Russia, they no longer showed any commitment to NATO. His only aim is to reestablish a caliphate with him as the head.

Iran, Turkey, and Iraq cooperate in keeping what at one time was Kurdistan split among the three countries. Yet the Kurds are the one strong element in the Middle East that is opposed to Sunni and Shiite terrorism.
