California needs to be shut down and troops need to be deployed. Suspend its statehood and throw its leaders in federal prison. Hold new elections and demand new oaths of allegiance to USA be implemented.

“Upon hearing the rumors, local jurisdictions in Northern California said they hadn’t been notified by federal officials of any impending raids.”

Why notify any CA “local jurisdictions” about the pendancy of any impending raid, since they've already indicated they're not going to assist in any way.

“Definitely going to Supreme Court. A state has no say over immigration laws. Ca law is void on its face.”

Yeah, that’s true, but don’t hold your breath that the SCOTUS will “act” any time soon, those worthless a$$holes will take a decade to even decide to take the case.

RE:”Under a new state law – the Immigration Worker Protection Act – employers and businesses could face fines of up to $10,000 if they provide employee information to U.S. Immigration Customs, Becerra said.”

Seems like the first employer getting fined sues in federal court and the CA law gets overturned.

The warning comes amid rumors of mass sweeps that will target illegal immigrants in Northern California. Under California’s sanctuary laws, local police are restricted from cooperating with federal immigration authorities.

I'm wondering if ICE has a plan if California state authorities begin interfering with their activities. It's one thing to 'not assist', quite another to impede the activities of federal law enforcement.

Perhaps Becerra has designs on a leading role in a Hispanic secessionist movement in the Southwest?

The increasing likelihood of the border wall going up and choking off the flood of illegal immigrants necessary to establish a demographic takeover in the region could easily force the issue. Hispanics who want to form their own country or join Mexico would find themselves in a now-or-never situation.

Becerra and his ilk are moving from merely defying federal authority on certain laws to renouncing it outright.

It’s laughable. Immigration is an enumerated responsibility in the Constitution and it’s not the States that decide it’s policy.

I know what I would do. I would test the shit out of the law and every agency head who hindered Federal Requests would be arrested and charged with aiding, abetting and obstruction of Justice.

I would force CEO to choose. Go to jail or cooperate.

If the preemption doctrine applied in Arizona, it goes double or triple for this threat.

I was thinking the exact same thing...that there is already a SCOTUS precedent that will work against Cali.

This could very well be the start of Civil War II. The South didn’t want to obey federal law back then and they refuse to obey federal law now. Let’s do this thing and get our country back.

Kalifornia has effectively seceded from the USA. Treat it as such.

Lock the politicians up first...then go after the aliens. And if a single ICE officer is killed during a sweep, convict and execute any politician who voted for this sanctuary state garbage. Darn right! This, now more than ever, is insurrection against the federal government. California's leaders need to be put in their place for outright disobeying the law and now prosecuting anyone who does obey!

Imagine being an employer stuck in the middle of this: If you don’t screen your employees/verify eligibility for employment you violate federal laws, while if you cooperate with federal law enforcement you violate state law.

Why would anyone open a business in California?

"....What if they passed a law but nobody cared?..."

What if they passed a law but nobody followed it?”

ICE needs to do their illegal roundup raids without the help of the employers.

Basically tell Kalifornia to stick it.
