However...
In academia, much of what you do is at the pleasure of the students, and usually the loudest, most difficult ones. You need to follow the herd at all times, and divest yourself of individual, or original thought. Common Sense? Ha. And, no one has any interest in accomplishing anything - success breeds expectations, so the end result is "No one does anything, ever".
It was a pretty good gig that I had, and I quit shortly after I started. The environment was very much a "Gilded Cage". I got the heck out before I got captured.
Also, take any of the stereotypes that you have about academia, or that are perpetuated here on FR...and they're all wrong.
They're not strong enough, reality is far, far worse.
Her Significant Other is Alec Hunt, so I heard!
His brother is Mkel.
She has also worked at several technology startups in Research Triangle Park, NC and in south Florida.
At Elon, Dr. Squire teaches courses in database systems, data mining, data science, and cybersecurity. Her research centers around the collection, curation, and federation of large amounts of data about how online communities work.
In particular, she studies how free, libre, and open source software (FLOSS) projects are developed, and how various extremist groups organize themselves online."

If she compiled that list on Elon’s time and/or property, Elon could be in for a world of legal and financial hurt.
Here’s hoping.
They have a commitment to Idealism. But they live in a cultured and cloistered environment as does a clam in a cultured pearl farm. All is designed to produce only non-contrarian thought produced only by peer reviewed literature and research. This research is not designed to produce other than a regurgitation of old thought (approved) and the mass of peer reviewed redundant research is used as the ‘weight’ of the evidence to further justify their stagnant thought.
Higher education with few exceptions ( like a Hillsdale ) is designed to recreate itself generation to generation to justify the positions and status of ‘right’ thinking people.
Sounds like her project was partly funded by the Uni and some outside sources.
I wonder who they are?
Do we have a picture and address for this bitch?
Academia is attracted to Communism because, like their teaching careers, Communism never has to show results to be considered viable.
It only needs useful idiots, of which there will always be a ready supply.
I would never stop hitting that one.
With a club.

She has that Vegan-Berkeley look.
Way above the “Crazy Line”
I decline to Facebook, tweet or whatever but she is welcome to track my FR posts!
I just sent her an email reminding her that she has an address, too.
Just saying.
L
how would this professor feel about having *her* personal details, such as home phone number, personal email address, house address, car make/model/license plate, names of family members, and other PII published for the world to see?””
This is exactly what is needed.
I’m in an industry where violating someone’s PII would prove disastrous, career-wise.
A frequent and usually entertaining poster, often on the topic of "hitting".
Her Bio and University Phone Number
Databases - that's where its at folks- relational databases and guess what that's what she knows how to do.
Professor of Computing Sciences
Laz, violating the PII of others is exactly what she’s doing.
Which suggests she has both permission & support from the corrupt institution she works for.
Why should this pro-Antifa nut be so difficult to crack? Real question.
Hmm...post #58 may have answered my question.
