In theory that would be great. In reality, the Democrats would win even more then they are especially in 2017-2018.

Conservatives exist as part of the Republican party

There are not enough conservative purists to support a cable news channel, much less pass a bill in the congress

It would be great to have a conservative political party that attempted to do what it was elected to do. It’s just not going to happen. The politicians won’t allow new parties to access the ballot let alone flourish. An example you’re familiar with is the LP. It’s been around since 1971 and they’r e still on the never ending hamster wheel of ballot access. There will always be insurmountable roadblocks thrown in their way. Because that’s what politicians do when they want to stay in power.

The dilemmas this country faces are primarily spiritual and cultural. Politics is a suckers game. And like any other suckers game the only way to win is not to play.
