GOP Rep. Gosar Says Nunes Memo Provides ‘Clear Evidence Of Treason’
Daily Caller ^ | 2/2/18 | Michael Bastasch

Posted on 02/02/2018 2:19:52 PM PST by markomalley

Arizona Republican Rep. Paul Gosar said the memo released by the House shows the actions taken by top FBI and Justice Department officials to investigate the Trump campaign “constitutes treason.”

“This full throated adoption of this illegal misconduct and abuse of FISA by James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Sally Yates and Rod Rosenstein is not just criminal but constitutes treason,” Gosar said.

The House released the four-page memo prepared by the Committee on Intelligence on Friday. The memo laid out how Obama administration relied heavily on a largely unverified dossier to spy on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

“Someone finally said the T word !”

Wouldn’t mind seeing Trump use it right about now.

Big Media would have to spend the entire superbowl weekend defending their gods.

You obviously have trouble separating the concept from the individual.

Purges occur all of the time throughout history and are absolutely justified when a coup attempt fails.

Let’s talk about Pinochet, if it makes you feel better.

"I am not surprised Sen. Flake has again cast his lot with the Democrats and those that attack true patriots. Good riddance."

LOL and good for Gosar!

Which part of it don’t you understand?

The treason part.

Sedition - conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch.

Treason - the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government.

Treason it is.

I understand what you mean . . . but, not really. The average American wouldn’t have ANY idea with the word “sedition” means, but “treason” will get the meaning across.

I was about to compose the same response. Let the talking heads debate the difference between sedition and treason.

Treason - the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government.

Article III, Section 3: "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort."

It may be a lot of things but treason isn't one of them.

A foreign agent was involved (Steele). This could well make it treason.

I like your sentiments. However, it is for President Trump to lead the American people to the right answer, not to choose for us.

I believe that he is capable of doing just that, by encouraging the Congress to investigate the entire summer and producing dozens of similar memos, with Sessions & Co. convening dozens of grand juries to generate hundreds or thousands of indictments, trials and convictions. He, God willing, will trap the media and Democrats into ever intractable positions defending the scum. Enough people will see the evil for what it is and vote them into nonexistence in November.

Let us pray.

This so called dossier sounds to me like originally it was a satirical piece submitted and rejected by some publication. Suggesting Trump was so petty that he would “get even” with the facility in Moscow where he and his wife were staying when given the same suite which Clinton used. An incredulous composition .

I won’t repeat what was stated in that opus. But frankly Trump doesn’t strike me as that sort of guy and that would consider such action is retaliation by having two hookers urinate on a bed Clinton slept in where Trump probably would consider that as a total waste of money.

As a piece of so called “intelligence” was there any verification ? That means complaints by the facilities housekeeping staff and statements by the two alleged hookers. Yet this is what the swamp creatures are claiming is intelligence which publicized will endanger America.

No. democrats interpret it the same way you do...

Weird, huh?

I already pointed out that the left are at war with the U.S.

It fits the treason part perfectly. Worse, their ranks are legion throughout the fed govt. They have turned the law enforcement arms & intel agencies of the fed govt into an enemy of the people.

A conspiracy of high treason.

Agreed. The actions are neither sedition nor treason.

Either these are rogue individuals acting against the law or a conspiracy of the whole government to subvert the Constitution and laws.

If the first, the individuals should be tried and if found guilty, convicted and sentenced to prison. And we continue to operate under the Constitution.

If the second, well, ladies and gentlemen, that is when the Declaration supersedes and dare I say trumps the Constitution.

No. democrats interpret it the same way you do...

Rational people can recognize a clear reading of the Constitution. No interpretation needed with Article III, Clause 3.

I already pointed out that the left are at war with the U.S.

I must have missed that part. I would have remembered laughing at it if I had.

Sedition and conspiracy to commit sedition. Cast the net far and wide. Including some of the liberal media.

Certainly Isikoff -- at a minimum.

Agreed. Erdogan has almost single-handedly turned one of the few semi-civilized countries in the Middle East into a Islamist hellhole. Not someone to be admired or looked to for any kind of example.

Ataturk was as ruthless as he needed to be, but created a viable nation out of the ashes of the Great War. What remains of his great work?
