REYNOSA, Tamaulipas - The violent drug cartel operating in this border city managed to add landmines to their growing arsenal as they wage large-scale battles in a near daily fashion. The explosive devices, known as Claymore mines, were seized by the Mexican military during a recent operation.

During a series of raids by the Mexican Army, soldiers focused on search operations in rural areas near the Rio Grande. According to information provided to Breitbart Texas by the Mexican Army, soldiers were able to find a series of weapons caches that had been buried–leading to the arrests of three suspects.

Soldiers unearthed two Claymores, a grenade launcher, two Barrett .50 caliber rifles, 17 AK-47 rifles, ballistic plates, ammunition, and magazines.

It is not classified as a land mine because it is detonated remotely on command, whereas a conventional land mine is just buried and goes off when someone is near it? Trying to learn something here on a subject I know nothing about.

I say bulldoze everything 12 miles south of the border, and turn it into a free fire zone where anything and everything that moves in it gets blasted by no less than a battalion of 155’s firing DPICM or FASCAM.
