It might mean an ER visit with a robot arm.

The robot’s consent isn’t the real issue. At some point, these sex-programed robots are going to be advanced enough to select their own sex partners. Then the question will be, can you resist the robot’s advances??? Will the robot have to get your consent???

Just as much of the internet growth and advancement occurred through porn, robot and AI advancement will occur through sex bots.

Do I get to be the robot?

The whole robot sex thing is preposterous! To some of us LOVE is only key to amorous feelings in that arena, for the right real person. Sad day in America!

There’s a simple solution to this, and I credit Frank Herbert.
“Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind.”
If you never let it be that smart and aware, you never have to worry about consent or disobedience.

Consent from a robot? WTF is wrong with these people - that’s like asking your car for consent to drive it.

$10 grand is a bargain compared with the average cost of a divorce or a paternity suit. And you know they are only going to get better as they get cheaper.
I can even see some wives buying them for their men to get the demand down from 2 to 4 times a week to their ideal of 2 to 4 times a month.

It means, "Get on your knees and do exactly what I tell you to do or I will get my sledgehammer and give you a reprogramming you will not soon forget."

I would sure say that the answer to the title’s question very greatly depends on which consents, the robot or the “user.”

Yeah? Wait until they start making trans-robots. You know, if I were to go in for the sex robot thing, I probably wouldn’t mind a little “brown sugar,” but I would want mine “properly-equipped,” which would open me up to accusations of transrobophobia. (And I take credit for probably what is the first appearance of that term in print.)
