Two airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, announced Saturday that they are ending discounted-rate deals with the National Rifle Association, adding to a growing list of companies distancing themselves from the gun-rights lobby group as it fights a push for stricter gun control measures after a deadly high school shooting on Valentine's Day in Parkland, Fla.
"Delta is reaching out to the NRA to let them know we will be ending their contract for discounted rates through our group travel program. We will be requesting that the NRA remove our information from their website," Delta tweeted early in the morning.

Hours later, United Airlines issued a similar statement.
"United is notifying the NRA that we will no longer offer a discounted rate to their annual meeting and we are asking that the NRA remove our information from their website," their tweet said.

The Florida shooting suspect, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, allegedly used a Colt AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, purchased legally, in the attack that left 17 people dead and more than a dozen more injured. The teenager, who had received marksmanship training in a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program supported by the NRA Foundation, also owned at least six other long guns, according to police.
After the shooting, students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have led an effort calling on lawmakers to pass restrictive gun measures. The NRA, however, has not been moved.
Speaking at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday, Wayne LaPierre, the NRA's executive vice president, called for more armed school security and blamed Democrats and the media for politicizing school shootings.
Since then, starting with the First National Bank of Omaha on Thursday, a number of business have announced they are severing ties with the NRA, including MetLife, the New York-based insurer, and auto-rental service Enterprise.
We Deplorables MUST unite and work to defeat the Liberal RAT enemies of freedom.
Go Trump - MAGA
And these companies are using this tragedy to drop NRA member’s benefit to make more cash profit for themselves and do it under the banner of “public outrage”. Hypocrites.
Im a delta sky miles member and am flying delta in about 18 hours. I will go out of my way to let them know after my return flight I will sever all relations with them.
Firing back at Delta and United for dropping their discount isn’t going to help.
We need to start demanding they drop support for leftist organizations like LGBTQA, BLM, Planned Parenthood and others.
This is how the leftists want the game played then we play there.
The time for silence is over.
True, it's mostly just these companies trying to prove that they're politically correct, in the original Soviet sense of the term.
.
I want Delta and United to refund the taxpayer money they received after the September 11th attacks.
A lot of the money was taken from taxpayers who are also NRA members.
When you do. Tell them that no mass murderer has been a member of the NRA but many who have stopped them have been.
Whoever is ordering this is interested in gun confiscation which is coming from money from other than customers, but rank and file may as well hear the truth.
That the Left is chomping at the bit for the opportunity to load us into the cattle cars I have no doubt.
To Laura Ingraham: We are not “winning.” The war is just getting started. Wake up.
They’re not using yellow stars this time.
In a way, 1st National Bank of Omaha’s capitulation to the gun grabbers only convinced me even more to take Dave Ramsey’s advice to pay off my credit cards with all deliberate speed and cut the damn things up.
These 2 airlines have demonstrated their utter lack of respect for their customers. This is one more example of their Marxist contempt for patriots.
I get 2% back from Chase on most items; higher on certain expenditures. There’s nothing special about the FNBO giving 1.5% back, just the difference, probably that 1/2%, to NRA. You could switch to a bank that “rewards” at 2% an donate 1/4 of that back to the NRA yourself.
Guess they wont be flying our hunters anymore.
I sure hope Southwest stays patriotic. Theyre the best.
Simple solution. Boycott them right back.
These leftist companies know only one thing. $$
You know...this redirect doesn’t make any sense. Of course it doesn’t have to these days.
But I am tired of a culture that teaches dependency. If those students had a ‘gun class’ or marksmanship training and self defense course...I wonder how many would have lived.
We talk about arming up the teachers and destroying the NRA, how about we start going back to some basics and teaching our children about firearms.
I wonder if the Air Marshalls for those airlines are NRA members? Or are those companies too, ‘a-skeered’ of guns to have security for their flights?
What a stupid LibTard move, as always. Alienate half of your customer base.

I flew a lot during my 22 years in the Army. Never flew Delta or United. American Airlines, Alaska Airlines or Flying Tiger was about it.
We need a photo frame for Facebook. Something like I am the “NRA”
If we get everyone to put that on their profile page, it might make it a point to these knee-jerk reactions
I travel every week and high a high status level on Delta. I’m flying to Paris next month with my wife on points. My idealism only goes so far.
