Personally I don’t care. Here in NJ I joined the NRA and asked for help in getting a carry permit and they wouldn’t. I since stopped supporting them myself. If the government tries to take away our guns I’m sure CWII will occur and I’ll join in on that.

Besides...we can get delicious Bordeaux and perfectly prepared French food, at wonderful bistros, here. We even have a patisserie, within walking distance, for light-as-air chocolate and almond croissants.

In fact, I try not to fly at all anymore. I’m retired, so I can take my time and drive; or take the train, or, if need be, the bus. Better and more interesting scenery, anyway.

Well I have determined that I will no longer use My United Plus card for purchases to get mileage. Also no longer will United be my carrier of choice.

Do a Google search on status matching . It is very easy to get matched elite status on other airlines. You could then revert to only spending miles on delta, but buying tickets in other airlines. Unless the routing is too perfect on delta to avoid.

Unfortunately, we are on the losing side of the culture wars and have been for a long time. We are outnumbered and things will only get worse. Executive levels of virtually all corporations — with a handful of exceptions — are trending left at a breakneck pace. Even Trump and Mattis haven’t been able to do squat for social conservatives. This was all foretold in a certain book of great religious influence and there doesn’t appear to be a lot we can do about it outside of our families.
Time to design an Arm Band with a Yellow Star with NRA printed on it.
