Actress and conservative activist Stacey Dash is running for Congress as a Republican candidate in California's 44th district to replace Rep. Nanette Barragan (D). Federal Election Commission documents prove it.
Dash became famous for her hilarious role as Dionne in "Clueless" in 1995, where she played the best friend of Alicia Silverstone's Cher. Years later, she burst into the conservative movement, speaking out against President Obama's policies. She worked as a Fox News contributor from 2013 to 2016.
In a sit down interview with Townhall in 2016 about her new book "There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative," Ms. Dash explained how she had been ostracized by Hollywood for her conservative ideology. She seemed to have no regrets.
Earlier this month, Dash asked for her supporters' thoughts on whether she should pursue a political career.
A number of people online and off have suggested I run for political office. I wanted to see what my online community thinks of this idea as I mull the possibilities. Thoughts? pic.twitter.com/L71fF0NnXR— Stacey Dash (@REALStaceyDash) February 9, 2018
HOO-wah....
Lol ... I wish ! :)
Picture from her blog.
"Holy Crap are those her... Her KNEES?"
She can take me and my car out on the highway, any day!
Don’t be a pig.
Don’t be a pig.
If she were seriously going to run, she would find a vulnerable Demon Rat.
California has a primary and the top two vote getters NO MATTER THE PARTY are on the general election ballot. That is why in 2016 there were ONLY DEMOCRATS on for the Senate seat left open by Barbara Boxhead.
So what about Congressional district 44 in California? Look at last year:
The most votes a Republican got was less than 6,000.
The top two vote getters by far were Demon Rats. The Democrats got the top 5 places. Republican placed sixth.
Find a vulnerable Demon Rat. This district is solid Demon.
You sound like a lot of people 2-3 years ago who were saying the same thing about: "A Reality TV Show host running for President? Har har!!! Yeah, right!"
I forget who that was now, but I believe his reality TV show was called "The Apprentice" or something similar. Look at the old video of Ann Coulter predicting he'd get the GOP nomination, and the raucous jeers of the entire audience plus the panel, as they ridiculed her while falling on the floor in laughter. Yup, his campaign certainly sank from view, once Jeb!s campaign caught fire.

Uh, 44th district where the Republican gets less than 15% of the vote?
Reagan, Schwarzenegger, Sonny Bono (actor + singer), ...
Not guilty!
Oh, sorry, wrong thread. :>)
Anyone to replace a Kalifornia Dim, but Ms. Dash would be outstanding.
Not guilty
Oops! Electable.
Just hearing from someone working on Mark Reeds campaign that we may have a good contender for the nasty Brad Sherman district. 30th?
oh you rastus you
I doubt she’ll win. . . having said that I have to admit she looks amazing for 51 years old.
Exactly
