He loves to mix quite good and careful conservative analysis with "out there" goofy stuff; and, he supports banning (confiscation?) of AR-15s.
He chooses to not understand that semi-auto .223 rifles have been around since the 60s, and the the caliber is considered too puny, in some states, to be legal for deer hunting.
I hope that he does not run, because he hurts the Conservative movement by just pretending to be one of us.
.
He would never be elected but it certainly would be fun.
What makes you think they would debate him?
They would just smear and smear without any reason to respond to him. No newspapers would support him. His only weapon would be to make podcasts that might reach 50,000 or 100,000 fans is California.
And if by some chance he won he would have much less power than he has right now.

“NO WAY Savage could even come close to winning in CA. Last Senate race we had the choice of TWO DEMS, go figure!!!!”
No argument there.
But I’m still relishing that mind’s eye vision of him pointing and howling at Everyone else in the Senate (and having spotlights trained on him while wearing a plastic Halloween halo.)
Him in the Senate would have been a perfect role for WC Fields.
Wouldn’t an armed Federal takeover be exactly what they’d be able to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights to resist?
Thank former California Governor Reagan and his catastrophic amnesty.
As for Savage, I have, as an herbalist, known of him (as Weiner) since before he was on the air.
I have very limited patience or respect left for an agnostic hedonist, former buddy of Timothy Leary and Allen Ginsberg, who presumes to write a book about God, and who claims credit for the election of Donald Trump, who has been extraordinarily in the public eye for decades, and who has been espousing many of his current ideas since the 1980s, many years before Savage was on the air.
If Savage confessed and repented of his depraved past, I might think differently. Instead, he brags that all he was and did was necessary to make him the unparallelled genius he is today.
You and me both.
Don’t know what his chances would be, but I’m hoping.
Would be a vast improvement over the so-called representation we have now. I would volunteer to canvas for him.
He would run as an Independent. How will the rats paint him as GOP? Conservative. 2 Democrats fighting it out. He just might slip through. Can he keep calm?
“he is far from reliable as a conservative,...”
Maybe yes and maybe no. But how many in Congress are?
true
Vanity run. Why not, no Pub is going to win anyway. In fact it may be two Dems with California’s jungle primary rule. The top two candidates get on the general election ballot regardless of party. A lot of lefties think Feinstein is too old and too “centrist” and want to primary her.
yes.
understood.
what would you suggest as the best herbal medicine book (Chinese and all the rest)?
Weiner? or ?
thanks!
.. well, technically maybe, but ... you have to remember who has the firearms ... preening metrosexual SJWs & their feminazi horse-whippers generally ESCHEW such things ... :>)
I’d vote for him. He’s nuts, but I’d vote for him.
Maybe he is what the Republicans need to win in California, someone crazy. Every Democrat that gets elected in this state is nuts.
WOOOHOOO! HOORAY Michael Savage!
It says in the article he would run as an independent - he should make it even more interesting and run as a Democrat to help get rid of the jungle primary system they set up to try to get rid of all opposition - that would help turn their little scheme into a nonpartisan ballot - this would neutralize it and may prompt them to get rid of it if their own party is turned into essentially a nonpartisan entity. All conservatives should run as Democrats for the statewide offices (and in districts where it is unlikely an R could ever emerge to the second round) - that is the only way they could get onto the general election ballot.
See my post 57 - he should run as a Democrat since it is all one jumbled primary. All conservatives should run for statewide offices as Democrats in California to neutralize that scheme of theirs for one party rule.
He would really shake things up and I am sure that there are some people who are fed up with the extreme liberalism of San Francisco, home of poo and pee on the streets.
Take any idea to its extreme and it becomes...well, extreme.
interesting idea, thanks
