The RNC knows how to craft a good message but they can’t translate it to poll victories.

I tend to think they’re holding their fire for the November polls. The Dems have been raising outsized sums of money for special elections. The question is whether these funds will come at the expense of the dollars available for November. Note that the media is highlighting these anecdotal results in isolation. What were the comparable special election results in 2014? 2010?

What is the RNC doing wrong?

They are running Republicans for office, that's what.

Does it not mean something to you that Trump, running for President, crushed 17 Republicans of all flavors and attitudes?

The Republican name is lower than dirt - and, truth be told, deservedly so.

This is the great flaw of a two-party system. The only way to punish nonfeasance and malfeasance is to send in the other guy.

R won in KY 89.

D won in CT120 by 51 votes. Total of 3000 votes (in 2016, 12,000)

These races are actually very, very good news. There is massive election fatigue. Despite all the hate, all the mobilizing and all the money, Ds are winning nothingburger seats by the slimmest of margins with MINISCULE turnout.

The GA R victory 2 weeks ago was just 9% of total registered voters.

What you are seeing is that people are just sick of elections and voting, especially Republicans. They’ll come out in the midterms, but in the meantime, they have lives to live.

As far as I can tell, the RNC chairwoman is not doing beans.
