I admit I had a brief moment today of wondering what the point of even talking about 2020 now could be.... but then I realized what Hinderaker is pointing out here, it is “laying down a marker” and saying “I, Donald Trump, POTUS, am in this for the long haul. I am not going anywhere!”
Yes, it is an important, aggressive response to all the drooling Leftards in the MSM and Democrap Party. Let them know they are LOSERS, they will continue to be LOSERS, and they will not succeed in driving POTUS Trump from office.
The only way Trump loses in 2020 is if he betrays his base.
Short of that he’s a shoe-in.
IMHO this announcement by President Trump is more of a strategy for the 2018 mid terms. I think he is doing what he can to gear up and support Republicans come November. Not that he will not run again in 2020.
Trump running in 2020? Perhaps, maybe not. Could be a strategy of not letting the swamp (enemy’s) know when he will be pulling out. He may be able to clean up the mess and turn things over to Pence in 2020.
