Dick's Sporting Goods, one of the largest sports retailers in the U.S., has announced it is immediately ending its sales of assault-style rifles and requiring all customers to be older than 21 to buy a firearm at its stores.
Additionally, the company will no longer sell high-capacity magazines.
CEO Ed Stack announced the decision ABC's Good Morning America on Wednesday, the same day survivors of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School are returning to class. Stack said the 19-year-old gunman allegedly behind that massacre, which claimed 17 lives and wounded many more in Parkland, Fla., had actually purchased a firearm from the retailer last November.
And he said that while the weapon — a shotgun — was not used in the shooting, the revelation deeply affected Stack and his colleagues at Dick's.

This can only lead to lost sales.
libtards don’t buy guns or other extensive/expensive gear (small boats, vests, etc.).
Dicks will NOT see any additional sales since they don’t target liberals.
Academy and Bass Pro Shops will happily take Dick’s ex-customers.

I’m pretty sure that Dicks does this when the heat is on, then when the ADHD SJWs move on to other issues, they quietly reverse course. It’s annoying, but that’s business.
The head of Dick’s is just a dick.
Local gun shops should benefit.
They are going to stop selling a whole bunch of other stuff too. They will become Dick’s Clothing Goods first but then watch for store closings. Screw ‘em.
I’ll make it a point to avoid Dick’s.

This simply good for small mom and pop stores. This will cost Dick’s a lot more than just sales of AR15s. And right in the middle of an expansion campaign.
Dick’s should change to P****’s.

Yep, in fact our local store has never stocked ARs since the first time. I avoid it if at all possible - we have many better stores, including the AR-heavy Palmetto State Armory.
As far as I can tell, the CEO of Dick’s is a showboating liberal Democrat...Dick’s is a very tempting boycott target. ;-)

Seriously, when I see one of those "COEXIST" bumper stickers odds are overwhelming it'll be on a Subaru.
None of my 40 plus guns are AR15s but you can bet Dicks won’t see me again.

Yep, that’s why I shop at Academy even though Dick’s is closer.
