The European Commission (EC) on Wednesday announced plans to penalize citizens from countries that refuse to take back illegal migrants by restricting visas.
This presupposes that the EU plans to deport millions of phony baloney refugees (parasites and jihadists). The EU doesn't. This is just some public relations dreamed up by the likes of Angela Merkel. Thanks Berlin_Freeper.

As of June 2019

“According to the Federal Ministry of the Interior’s figures for last year, 23,617 rejected asylum-seekers were deported in 2018. This sounds like a lot. But in the same period, about 31,000 deportations failed for various reasons. In most cases, this was because travel documents were missing. However, it was often also because deportees simply disappeared before the planned departure.

The fact is also that only 12,099 rejected asylum-seekers left the country last year as part of the government-funded “voluntary return” scheme. A further interesting figure is that as of 31 December 2018, 236,000 foreigners with the status, “required to leave the country,” were in Germany. Not all are rejected asylum-seekers but by far the majority.”
