GOP Says Voting Machines 'Miscalibrated' in District Lamb Won, Saccone Votes Switched to Lamb

Serious shenanigans may have gone down in Pennsylvania's special election on Tuesday.

From the Washington Free Beacon:

Lamb currently leads Republican Rick Saccone by just 627 votes and there are still absentee and provisional ballots that have not been tabulated, but Republicans are already preparing for the likely recount and even a possible lawsuit regarding issues at polling sites, according to a Republican source familiar with the deliberations.

"We're actively investigating three instances and likely to file court action on them," the source said.

Among the listed concerns are "miscalibrated" voting machines in Allegheny County, the only county of four in the district that went for Lamb, according to the source, who said there have been many reports of voters who intended to vote for Saccone ending up casting a ballot for Lamb.

Furthermore, Republicans say their attorneys were ejected from polling sites as the absentee ballots were still being counted and that due to confusion caused by the Pennsylvania secretary of state website people were directed to the wrong polling locations.

Republicans have demanded that all ballots and voting machines be impounded in preparation for the likely recount.

Republican sources are circulating prior investigations into Allegheny County election officials by Pittsburgh's local ABC affiliate, which found the county was hiring people with criminal records and little election experience to manage polling sites on election day.

There is no conspiracy here, just GROSS AN INEXCUSABLE INCOMPETENCE by the entire GOP!

Yep we are moving on now because no one would ever dare to steal an election, that is against the law. Yep, yep, sure enough.

A person can’t prove a negative, nor are they under any obligation to do so.

Any person making any claim in entirely responsible for proving it.

Pure evil. The vote is the most basic right Americans have. To have a vote switched around and not counted is incredibly wicked. A act of high treason.

Partner, u r 100% correct!

The Rat party is pure "Evil".

Our problem is that the Pubbie will not lift a finger to stop this cheating and underhanded tactics in elections.

Jeff Sessions will now recuse himself and how in the world did he become the U.S. Atty. General?

We r so snake bitten.

Sounds like the Saccone campaign will make an attempt to prove it.

I didn’t make the claim. But blackboxvoting.org showed how easy it is with electronic voting. Whether that applies in this instance, no one knows.

If a negative can’t be proven, why bother telling this forum that the negative is correct? LOL!

Part of the problem with our side is that we take everything at face value. The deep state is made up of dishonest, despicable scum. They will do anything: lie, cheat, steal, murder to achieve their goals.

Not saying 'the negative is correct'. The "negative" is the claim "just because there is no hard evidence of doesn't mean it doesn't exist" which is a fallacy that I thing should always be called out, regardless of subject. Maybe something without proof exists, but that is the realm of 'faith'. Just observing that, and it's a personal annoyance with conspiracy claims in general, that a claim of fraud needs to be proven. I personally think it important as a conservative, to avoid logical fallacies or claims that make our side look stupid or paranoid. I'm not saying you made any specific claim, just a point of order.

Actually, to clarify, the ‘claim’ is that there was fraud’, and the argument I’m attacking is “just because there is no proof doesn’t mean it didn’t happen”.

Way to often conspiracy theories and the like rely on this exact sort of reasoning: ‘of course we don’t have proof, the did a good job covering it up’. So I tend to fall back on what got beat into me in HS- the entirety of the burden is on the person making the claim as far as proof.

And I just don’t like conspiracy theories in general; people are dumb and gullible, and that explains most bad things more easily than highly competent criminals and cabals.

The term “conspiracy theory” was a construct of the deep state following the JFK assassination. Anyone who has a problem with conspiracy claims should take that up with our elected representatives, so they can remove criminal and civil statutes related to conspiracy from the books.

Don’t forget, the government has unlimited resources to promote or prove a conspiracy claim that they support, and unlimited resources to debunk or smear non-belief in official narrative. There is enough evidence of evil and conspiracy in our history to not ever accept official narratives, especially ones followed by improbably organized efforts at legislation and control.

Official narratives are almost always at least partly BS. Time and truth go hand-in-hand.

You seem utterly convinced there was no fraud. Where does your surety come from?

Never said there was zero fraud, I said FRAUD didn’t cost this race... this race was lost by horrible and incorrect messaging and the fact the GOP ecosphere wants to pretend 2016 and Trump never happened.

Fraud did’t cost this race, incompetent messaging did.

This race should have never been close, and fraud isn’t the reason it was close.

GOP Ran a terrible campaign from the top down, incorrect and wrong message, never gave anyone outside the hard core base a reason to care or show up... not once, even bothered to try to talk to them, let along motivate them

If fraud adds up to the winning margin, then fraud did cost the race.

That's not to excuse the incompetence of the GOP.

Red Herring guys, this wasn’t lost by fraud, it was lost by incompetence.

I live in this district, and a miscalibrated machine isn’t going to cost you major votes...

Even IF You didn’t notice the checkbox was wrong... you still have to go through 2 more screens confirming your vote.

You aren’t going to find 1000 votes that were due to this...

You cast the vote, you reveiew the vote then you confirm the vote... If the cast screen screwed up, you see what it says on the next screen and still have to click again to cast it.. its beyond highly unlikely a machine or two doing this is going to result in many incorrect votes being cast.

This is a non starter folks.

Fraud didn’t lose this election, incompetence did. PERIOD.

I live in this district, and I stated before the vote, that while R should still win, it would be far far closer than it ever should be and that Lamb winning wasn’t impossible, it was not beyond the pail that he could squeak by.

This wasn’t because of fraud, this was because it was clearly obvious the R’s messaging in this race was horrible, and wrong.

Fraud didn’t cost this race, incompetence throughout the GOP ecosphere did.

1000 fraudulent votes would be easy to manufacture.

Illegals + multiple-registered voters + voting machines + fake absentee ballots.

You believe so, you are welcome to come to PA 18, this fall and attempt to fraudulent get 1000 votes counted.

This wasn’t lost by conspiracy theories it was lost by GOP ecosphere incompetence.

Miscalibrated machines are not getting 1000 votes... As I stated before, you make the selection which is where the miscalibration would occur, then you go to a review screen and finally submit the vote. If you think 1000 votes like that happened an no one noticed it happening to them you are living in a dream world.

This race was lost by incompetence and a GOP that refuses to accept what 2016 was all about. They were shown how to win, and ignored it all.

Your argument is - "if you think miscalibrated machines could happen without anyone noticing, you're dreaming."

Umm, people did notice it happening. That's what the article is about.

And what exactly is in place to stop all the other scenarios I mentioned?

That’s exactly my point they NOTICED and no way you are getting 1000 fraudulent votes due to machines being miscalibrated.

As to you other reasons, show me the evidence... This isn’t NYC, and this district doesn’t include the urban core of Pittsburgh...

This election was lost by the GOP engaging in gross incompetence, not by fraud. This is a race that should have never been close. Conspiracy theories about election fraud costing it with no evidence is just that.

IT was OBVIOUS this race was going to be far closer than it ever should be, and that D winning was a possibility to anyone watching.. because the messaging was absolutely all wrong for the district and the race.

Trying to find a boogieman to blame is silly, the blame is squarely on the GOP ecosystem refusing to accept, understand or even acknowledge 2016. Pure and simple.

R vote totals for the distrct were more than 50,000 below where they were in 2014, the last off year election for the district, and that was a year the R ran unopposed.... You had nearly 1/3 less R votes show up... you want to know why you lost? It wasn’t fraud.. it was that you didn’t get your side to show up.. period. You fed red meat to the rabid base and ignored everyone else, you delivered a message never addressed anyone else.

Want to know why you lost, your messaging was terrible .. FCS, you had the R running around in the last 2 weeks of the election saying “I was Trump before Trump” You think that’s going to get those no traditional voters to show up????? You think a campaign that effectively was THE OTHER GUY IS EVIL, is going to do that???? Nope....

This race was lost by messaging, not fraud. Clinging to this conspiracy theory with no evidence is nonsensical. YOu should be angry at the GOP ecosphere for refusing to understand the fundamental realities of what they needed to do in this race.

50,000+ votes didn’t disappear do to fraud, they didn’t show up because you gave them no reason to.

This is the problem with voter fraud. Anyone with a particle of common sense can see it's easily possible.

But no one investigates it.

And then the excuse is - there's no evidence that it occurred.

When elections are this close, it's crucial that we have a transparent and trustworthy process. We don't.

Again, that's not to diminish your point on GOP messaging.
