Hes an a hole.
A military expert was just on the radio today talking about what a great defense even one man with a pistol can do against a heavily armed guy. Get in his face, make his aim off, distract him, it really works. Lives would have been saved.
The late coach went down a hero forever to the country. This cop may have saved his own ass, but what is his ass worth today, even to his own children?? Id rather my dad went down a hero trying to save kids, than be alive on the couch beside me, a coward failure.
If the shooter was covered in body armor how could he be identified? At this point I don’t doubt it was a false flag, seeing they knew the kid had already framed himself with all his phone calls.
The kid needs to be put away where he can not harm anyone, or himself. That should have been done a long time ago.
Maybe he didn’t know.
Maybe they need to be talking more about what a hero would be before the tragedy, and less after it (except to learn lessons about how to do it better).
And yes. I’m going to say something that borrows from explicit Christian theology, though it’s also seen illustrated by example in Hebrew scriptures.
Any act of true greatness will entail suffering. We’ve got far too many armchair warriors and far too few skin-in-the-game warriors.
Jesus, in the Christian view, didn’t give us something so much different than seen in the Jewish covenant — as to wrap it up with a nice bow and offer it to the whole wide world. Look, the Lord suffered and even died for you. Shouldn’t you dare the same to rescue others?
And that’s why losing a Christian world view has hurt the USA so bad.
