I can't understand all the vitriol towards this harmless guy, this site is turning into a virtual hate farm that is manifesting on lots of other threads too..

That is all very true.
Like his style or not, the only agenda he ever promoted AFAIK is fitness. He did that without sugarcoating the fact that it would take work but encouraged people to enjoy the effort and didn’t believe in fad diets, drugs or OTC weight loss pills. I don’t know how that can be cast as a negative thing.
