Thanks for your very heartfelt reply.

I agree 100%.

It’s as though the Rs don’t actually WANT to win. It’s as though they are INTENTIONALLY handing races to the Dims.

I’ll ask EVERYONE reading this post....WHY on Earth is a ROMNEY heading up the RNC?

It's called the Washington Generals strategy.

The first story I saw about this was not from Conservative Tree house. When was this dated?

I gave you the date in my post. Did you miss it?

Don’t think Democrat candidates all over the country aren’t picking Lamb’s campaign apart looking for ideas to use in their own runs. His is the prime example of how to win.

Donald Trump showed everyone how to win, not just Republicans. Democrats like Conor Lamb listened and learned.

That does raise an important side issue...why have an election this close to the fall election, and for a district that goes away. That will mitigate the damage in this specific race. Concern is why they let this slip through their fingers.

Lamb has no victory yet.

It doesn't matter what the recount says. When the GOP is looking for dimpled chads under a magnifying glass in a district that Trump won by 20 points, it's not good for Republicans who continue to believe that they can run the same sorry old gaggle of establishment wanks and coast to victory.

Ok I see the 15th. These guys are good and this story only solidifies my conclusion that America cannot be fixed politically. Time for the next phase.

I fervently disagree being from VA I just saw the recount win a few cases for the GOP.

We shouldn't have to worry about recounts in the first place. Trump won here by 20 points!

We win when we run candidates who are Trumpists. We didn't. The Democrats did.

Doesn't matter if he is or not. He ran like one and won. That's how you win. Democrats are figuring this out. Maybe the GOP should try it.

Things to remember when voting for a nation of Law and Order or a (nation of corruption/Socialism)

"No, Obama was shifting, had just shifted the goal posts, his word was now law, to anyone in the Washington establishment that mattered, that meant game over.

Not for the first time Barack Obama was attempting to define his Presidential Legacy by employing his most enduring personal and political quality, an audacious arrogance.

In one statement, he dispensed with all the bother of the Democrat’s Star Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton being at any risk of criminal charges, by redefining the legal evidentiary requirements for any successful prosecution.

No longer would it matter whether what Hillary Clinton did, or did not do, was legal or not. The Washington Establishment had spoken, Hillary Clinton was “Too Big To Jail”.

Equal Justice For All...just a motto? If in fact we are under no obligation to imprison and try corrupt politicians like Hillary Clinton...then We The People have no protection from a corrupt government...a government that wants to disarm the citizens.

All they need to do is just make sure the mask stays on tight.
Campaign as moderate, reasonable, patriotic Americans.
Then when elected just vote with the Bolsheviks in the party.

Republicans leadership is GROSSLY INCOMPETENT!

Yep.

They continue to believe they can win by running the same type of establishment candidates that Trump beat.

They have learned nothing!

You make a good point that he will be allowed to maintain his camouflage through another election cycle.

This wasn’t lost due to the candidate... this was lost completely on messaging.... Even with a mediocre candidate this race should have never been closer than 8 points.

The messaging was all wrong... never targeted anything but the red meat hard core R voter... You could have put the greatest candidate in the world up, and they would have not moved the needle much in this race.

This race was lost by incorrect messaging and targeting.

I’m no Einstein, but I know that a vote for any a Democrat is a vote for impeachment, a vote for more illegal immigration a vote for higher taxes? I just don’t get it?

Spending time on Freerepublic being around intelligent informed people it's easy to forget we are the minority, in truth we live in a country full of uninformed morons.

Ask your typical average person about why the vote Democrat even though they will tell you they hate illegal immigrants and hate high taxes and hate crime and every other result of their polices and you get a blank stare followed by "Duuuuuuhhhh I vote Democrat because they are for the little guy and Republicans are for the rich!"

As George Carlin said, The Public sucks

Your essay is very impressive but what we’re talking about on this thread is a temporary Congressional seat in a district that is about to be Gerrymandered.....
