Exactly. I keep pointing it out that we have lost 40 seats. Now, I don’t count the Governor’s race in Virginia because Trump lost Virginia. I also don’t count Alabama because of the unique situation with Roy Moore. Strange would have won Alabama, and Trump was right to endorse him. However, we just lost a deep red seat. We have lost some seats that are deep red in those 40 seats. You look at the vote shift on the NY Times map from this election, nearly every area vote shifted to blue. Granted, this was a unique candidate, but we still should have won. To keep rationalizing these away is stupid. Yeah, it’s NBC, but we have proof from the special elections that this can be so. We have to find out what is going on. Are they mad at Trump? Mad at the Congress? Switching? Not motivated? The RNC needs to send out surveys.

I don't want to dilute your point, which is that the Democrats are HIGHLY motivated, and if we don't GOTV massively we are going to be rocked in November.

But I will pick one nit: the seat we lost in PA was not "deep red." It isn't even "slightly red." Democrats have a registration edge in that district, there was a scandal involving the GOP candidate who vacated the seat, and Lamb ran basically as a Trump candidate: Pro-2A, Pro-Life, vowed he would not vote for Pelosi as Speaker, and made pro-MAGA statements.

So it's not as alarming as a 20 point flip might make it seem. Will he follow through? No. Of course not. He's a Democrat and a liar.

But still, midterms are about turnout, and the Democrats WILL be turning out. Anyone who scoffs at that is a fool.

The RNC needs to send out surveys.

I would not count too heavily on this. I, and many I know about have not answered a poll honestly since around 2007.

I would recommend that we proceed as if we are losing votes wholesale and persuade voters of all parties that we should never allow fake news to force us to be dispirited.

There should be a constant push to persuade and remind the marginal voters of all parties to ask themselves, are you better off today than you were in October of 2016?

Ignorant does not necessarily mean "stupid!"

What I really find frustrating is the stupid excuses around here for the loss’. Oh it doesn’t matter because (whatever idiotic reason).....It’s like people just don’t care if we lose the majority because it is easier to just complain about the Democrats when they are in charge. Weird.

No one really wants to talk about the problem. Because no one has any idea of what to do publicly.
