DENVER No bump stocks have been turned over to Denver authorities after the city banned the accessories used in last years mass shooting in Las Vegas that killed 58 people and injured hundreds.
Denver Police police last month invited city residents to turn in any bump stocks in their possession but Denverite reports that none have been handed over.
The ban on bump stocks approved by the city council in January was considered largely symbolic. Denver had previously banned the types of semi-automatic rifles that can be modified with bump stocks.
A bump stock is a device that can increase the speed in which a gun can be fired.
The council also made it illegal in most situations to possess magazines that hold more than 15 rounds of ammunition.
Fines under the new Denver law could be as much as $1,000 and up to 180 days in jail.

I don’t need a bumpstock in Denver. I just hire a criminal illegal alien to do my dirty work.

What if no one in Denver owns a bump stock. A possibility. I have never seen one. They also banned possession of "high capacity" magazines.
There must not have been a single 30 round AR mag in all of Denver. After all, none were turned in.
To: Simon Green
Makes sense. Who in their right mind would own something illegal?
To: Simon Green
Who even has one. I’ll bet 99% of gun owners did not even know of these things until several months ago. And none of us own one or ever even seen one. Everybody got worked up or a gimmick that is useless to any serious gun owner.

You don’t even need a rubber band.
There are a few videos on you tube
that show how to rapid fire an AR.
Tried one method shown with mine...
it worked. Kind of expensive on the
ammo end though.

I know a guy who bought a bump stock. He used it one time at the range and was sorry he spent the money for it.
