#NoMoreGunsInMovies......you think Hollywood would be willing to do their part in eliminating gun violence by REFUSING to glorify it?
Remember 1968, when Bobby Kennedy was murdered by a Palestinian immigrant. A wave of anti-gun hysteria washed over the USA in which everything from TV shows, pulp fiction, movie violence.
The end result was Adult TV shows (still safe for children) were dumbed down to kiddie shows.
Pulp fiction replaced their blood soaked covers with milder ones.
Movies shown on TV were butchered and re-edited to remove all violence. Even PSYCHO was pulled at the last minute from being shown on TV.
But the MOVIE industry, (whose movies were still safe enough for kids) said they would “police themselves” with a joke of a ratings system.
So they then reshot scenes ADDING sex and more blood and guts to get the coveted “R” rating.
With Cable, it has become even worse on TV since the mild 1960s. Most shows on TV now would get a 1969 “R” rating.
