Shares of General Mills Inc. GIS, -9.63% plunged 9.6% toward a 5-year low in morning trade Wednesday, enough to pace the S&P 500's SPX, +0.46% decliners, after the consumer foods company reported a fiscal third-quarter profit that beat expectations but slashed its outlook.

General Mills was one of the first companies that got on the pro-same sex marriage bandwagon.
I quit buying their products as much as possible--mostly their cereals--after seeing they had decided to play politics.
I hope the stock tanks.

Maybe they should put more sugar in their products?....................

RE: I hope the stock tanks.
Well, I’ll be willing to have that happen as long as the rest of the S&P 500 components don’t follow suit. I have my 401K tied to this index.

And we certainly hope to see Betty shed more than a few tears. Lessons for those attempting to fool true blue American Citizens.
Don’t mess around with us, boys.

I still love the sugary cereals with whole milk, but...I don't buy theirs anymore. My wife still insists on getting them for me, though...I explained why I didn't want to consume her products, but she goes after whatever is on sale.
I couldn't purchase them myself after the whole homosexual advocacy thing with Lucky Charms, "The Lucky Ones" campaign.
Same with Coca Cola products after I saw this commercial: Coca Cola Pool Boy Commercial.
I had been an extreme consumer of Coke Zero, drinking up to 6-12 a day, and when I saw that, I just stopped completely.
I found out how difficult it is if you want to avoid Coca Cola products in convenience stores, etc. Sometimes those and Diet Pepsi are the only soda zero calorie choices.

The Protein for Breakfast movement is the death knell for sugary cereal. Our grandkids never have cereal for breakfast, which is a good change in eating habits.
To: SoFloFreeper
Exactly. Also Gatorade. Oreos. JCP. Starbucks. My list is sooo long.

General Mills was one of the first companies that got on the pro-same sex marriage bandwagon. And that was the last time I ever purchased a General Mills product.

A company that promotes sodomy, diabetes and cancer should just burn in hell.

They also broke the taboo on interracial couples in advertising with white mama and the mulatto kid in the kitchen and big buck dad asleep on the couch. Good riddance to them I hope.

All soft drinks are bad for you anyway. I quit them Nov-2016 right before I had a stomach bypass. I went from 356 lbs to 250 lbs now.
