Trump signs $1.3 trillion spending bill despite veto threat on Twitter
Washington Post ^ | March 23, 2018 | John Wagner and Mike DeBonis

Just hours after threatening a veto, President Trump said Friday afternoon that he had signed the sweeping $1.3 trillion spending bill passed by Congress early Friday and averted a government shutdown. In a morning tweet, Trump said he might veto the omnibus bill because it does nothing to address the fate of young undocumented immigrants known as “dreamers” and does not fully fund his border wall. But speaking to reporters at the White House about four hours later, Trump said he had decided to sign the bill despite his reservations, arguing that it provides much-needed funding for the military, including a pay increase for troops and new equipment.Just hours after threatening a veto, President Trump said Friday afternoon that he had signed the sweeping $1.3 trillion spending bill passed by Congress early Friday and averted a government shutdown.

No, he put the military plan ahead of the Omnibus goodies added. He said this won’t happen again. I believe him.

What about Planned Parenthood and the wall? The military is important but so is border security. The Unborn. New Jersey does not need a tunnel..

Pelosi and Schumer haven’t been this happy since the Parkland H.S. shooting. They’ll be partying hard tonight.

I think you might have missed the president’s statement today. He threatened to veto the bill because there were no protections for DACA recipients. President Trump’s “Art of the deal” is DACAs get to stay in exchange for building the wall.
His tweet was: “I am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.”

There’s some funding for The Wall. Did Ryan and McConnell deliver? No, they did not.

When you figure out how to stop funding for the Dems in the budget, let us know.
Until then, we have to deal with an unfortunate political reality. The GOPe is no friend to this President.

Really? Sorry, you are wrong. Trump caved. Those voters who relied on him to stand up for Conservative values even when the Deep State and its molls were howling their victory have every right to be angry.

Sigh... As angered and saddened as I am about this, I remain loyal to the President.

Dammit, Donald!

The House, the MAGA agenda, and Trump’s second term, are all in jeopardy now.

That is the Uniparty/Deep State plan.

Republican, Democrat at this point what difference does it make? They are all addicted to the green and the fall is going to be hard.

The GOP doesn't care as long as they can still go to Nine Rivers Country Club on Sunday, get their buffets and crackers and cheese, they don't care.

This is the Republican way of fighting back against MAGA.

So we learned the man is a wheeler dealer. The deal is everything. No room to die on a hill Mr. President?

No country or people to say I stand here unmoved for! No room for saying “I veto this bill. If you want to destroy this country, you will have to do it Congress. I will not be moved.”

Trump have behaved like a Puxxy! Shame!

It will be Trump’s

“Read my lips”, moment

We elected him because he had balls. I am guessing those are tinker bells not balls.

Dow now down 300+, SandP over 400. Their objective though is the economy...destroyed by a bloated spending bill guaranteeing huge interest rate increases. This signature approval is at best disconcerting, at worse, a betrayal.

Another question is:

Why and how did we end up with an Omnibus rather than regular order budget worked on by committees?

Think of all the Trump/Russia/FISA collusion hearings...

See the damage that the bogus Russia narrative is causing?

It is a time suck to take away focus on important things.

Hell!
We are going to build a big, beautifull wall, NOT. And no Mexican gonna pay for the wall.
I have a big freezer full of crows for those who vilified us for defending Ann Coulter when she held Trump’s feet on fire about the wall.
And another big freezer full of crows for those who tell us that Trumps knows what he does by keeping “excellent” Sessions.

Now, I have to puke.

Right. Trump didn’t have much choice because he is isolated and alone. Most of DC hates his guts. He can only do so much by himself.

Majority of Trump voters Do Not Care that he signed the bill. ‘

Libs posing as ‘Trump Voters’ are calling into radio programs and posting on line in full court press mode, hoping to get Rush, et al to stop supporting Trump.

Won't happen. MAGA

Ask the average Trump supporter, those that attended his rallies, etc. if they only voted for him because they thought he would veto this type of bill, they will laugh in your face. Such a joke. Not a big deal with true Trump supporters.

Judicial nominees are a much bigger deal. We are good.

Remember this guy?

Judge Neil M. Grouch

Major, MAJOR overreaction by 'some' on the Right today. Many are liberals posing as Trump voters.
