Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced Wednesday he will review potential Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuses by both the Justice Department and the FBI, following requests from Congress and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The Office of the Inspector General released a statement Wednesday outlining the initiation of a review.
The OIG will initiate a review that will examine the Justice Departments and the Federal Bureau of Investigations compliance with legal requirements, and with applicable DOJ and FBI policies and procedures, in applications filed with the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) relating to a certain U.S. person, the statement obtained by Fox News read. As part of this examination, the OIG also will review information that was known to the DOJ and the FBI at the time the applications were filed from or about an alleged FBI confidential source.

I'm wondering this just sweeps it all under the IG rug for review at a MUCH later date...
...say, after the election.
This is sessions avoiding appointing a independent special council. It’s a stall tactic, nothing more.
I thought this is what, they were already doing.
He “will?” Hasn’t he been doing this for the past six months?
Yeah. Wasn’t his report due about now?
I see you wasted no time making your BS opinion known on this thread as well. So let’s just remember this when you are proven to be a fool.
On the surface this looks good, but I STRONGLY suspect it will be used by Do-Nothing Jeffie Sessions to delay and drag out any REAL investigation or the appointment of a Special Counsel.
Until he is I think it is rude to attack someone for voicing an opinion held by a growing number of freepers
This report was supposed to be released in March. Now we’ll probably have to wait another year or two.
“This report was supposed to be released in March. Now well probably have to wait another year or two.”
That’s why Trump went ballistic on Jeff Magoo. We have tons of evidence of high crimes committed—conspiracies, high treason, etc. What does Jeff Magoo do? He kicks it to the IG who can’t prosecute anyone...The only reason he would do this is to whitewash these crimes for the corrupt state.
For the same reasons I dont like the first one - they are independent sort of, they can wander down whatever alley they choose and take however long in so, ) doing, spending (some like me say, squandering) however many millions doing it!
There are plenty good US Prosecutors who can call up Grand Jurys now to look at everything we have so far, and get on with business!
These calls for having another one just want to put off uncomfortable news until long after theyve won elections and/or are out of office!!!
DAMN! I used the search feature on the headline. Not sure how it missed...
“I do NOT want a second independent counsel. “
I don’t want one if it’s appointed by Jeff Magoo or Rod Rosenstein.
We’re at the stage for military tribunals anyways. If we can be saved at all.
I would be careful making such comments inasmuch as the evidence to date strongly supports the Sessions is Worthless argument far more than your wishful thinking and the insane rantings of CTH and Q, neither of which have any type of track record for reliability.
I think the updates are put in at night, from a batch file. Wild guess though.
Six months...phooey.... Last 14-months.
Get on the stick Sessions and Horowitz.
