While engaging in a debate over gun control on Twitter, Chelsea Handler made an astounding claim about her armed security detail:
"My armed guards aren’t killing children and don’t have semi automatic weapons."
Of course, it is not astounding that the former E! Channel, former Netflix and apparently future NBC talk show host has armed security guards who don’t kill children, but the notion that they don’t carry handguns that discharge spent cartridges and load a round of ammunition automatically on each trigger pull is dumbfounding and impossible to believe.
Either Handler has employed armed security personnel who employ questionable defensive tactics or Ms. Handler, an outspoken proponent of gun control laws, doesn’t have a fundamental understanding of the weapons she advocates to regulate.
This squares with a recent poll that suggests that a majority (63%) of Americans want to ban semi-automatic weapons. However, there are two problems with the much-ballyhooed poll.
The first problem is the question. Registered voters were asked if they “banning the sale and ownership of all semi-automatic and automatic firearms.” Of course, automatic weapons are already illegal in most cases and lumping them in with semi-automatic is quite problematic if ones goal is to really understand if the American people favor such a drastic gun control measure.
And the second problem is that the poll never properly defines what a semi-automatic weapon is. And as is proven by Ms. Handler’s remarkable statement about her security guards, most Americans (including media figures) have a lamentable lack of fundamental understanding of the very thing they passionately want to restrict.

The third possibility is that she is stupid AND ignorant.

Ms. Handler jokes about her excessive drinking. She even wrote a book on the subject called, "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea". Her first book was titled, "My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands".
I suspect her drinking is a means to keep her demons in check.

It shall be a Felony for any person who has been granted a privilege to keep and bear arms, without being infringed, for Hire or Compensation.
\Get rid of the Hired Guns for rich liberals and see what they say.
But are they ‘full’ semi-automatic, or just regular semi-automatics?
She deserves to protect herself. Just like every teacher in every school and every family in every house across America and the whole world.

If they are carrying 1847 walkers colts they have legs like stumps. Look up the weight of one of those. I don’t belive she knows jack about semis or wheel guns. They need to carry buckets of rocks and get current.
So I guess her body guards carry bolt action rifles?
I know, I have one, it weighs 5 1/2 pounds.

Classic push poll. Just change the wording around to something like “will banning weapons with large capacity magazines keep them out of the hands of criminals” and the majority would say no.
Revolvers have been employed for over 150 years.
I had one guy saying how semi-auto’s should be banned, and when I questioned him about what a semi-auto was he had no clue. These people listen to CNN etc and just repeat what they have heard like the sheep they are.
So I guess they all carry “wheel” guns?

I guess the babies were “lucky” she didn’t have them.
