Well I certainly hope they are not killing children, they should leave that up to you. But I can assure you that they are carrying semi-autos!

Either Handler has employed armed security personnel who employ questionable defensive tactics or Ms. Handler, an outspoken proponent of gun control laws, doesn’t have a fundamental understanding of the weapons she advocates to regulate.

What's astounds me as much as anything is that she was dumb enough to let the world know this (if it's true, which I'm sure it's not). If I were a deranged fan (if I knew who Chelsea Handler actually was and why I should care), this is my invitation to jump her.

Okay, other than seeing her name on some books with cheesy covers/titles, I am still not sure what her claim to fame is other than being another loudmouthed, metro-area, secular Jewish American Princess with a penchant for recreational substance abuse, interracial sex and abortion. I could see her getting her hair pulled or face scratched by someone whose squeeze she boinked, but apart from that, why would she need bodyguards?

it is not astounding that the former E! Channel, former Netflix and apparently future NBC talk show host has armed security guards who don’t kill children, but the notion that they don’t carry handguns that discharge spent cartridges and load a round of ammunition automatically on each trigger pull is dumbfounding and impossible to believe.

Caution: Handler vids are bound to be in bad taste, but in this one she makes a tortured, mentally twisted comparison of President Trump with an ape, and subservient to Putin, on the grounds that a false allegation of a Russian prostitute urinating on someone or something related to Trump (I guess) -- and that's followed by actual vid of Chelsea swimming, near the end of a dock, as Jason Biggs urinates on her. There's also vid snips from an appearance of hers on Conan's show where she jokes and laughs about having had an abortion when she was 16, and how otherwise she'd have a biracial 20 year old child. Note that the title is, alas, merely hyperbole.

Ridiculous! Almost every single American is not so lucky, Manning. They can either defend themselves, hope no one EVER attacks them, cower in the corner and do whatever the thug says, or die.

And anyone wanting to do bad things to you have to first go up against your revolver-packing guards which is almost always going to deter them in the first place.

Maybe, just maybe, regular, law-abiding folks with semi-autos are also a deterrent, huh?

There are, if I understand correctly, “semi-automatic” pistols which (for safety reasons) merely recharge the firing chamber with a fresh round but do not cock the hammer.

If so, the difference between such a “semi-automatic” and a revolver is - what?

Uh, yea they do... Unless they carry revolvers, (which I highly doubt) and in each case the end result is not much different in terms of being able to fire repeatedly, you can fire repeatedly without manually reloading a revolver, you are just leveraging the mechanical movement of the trigger to advance to the next round instead of the explosive gas from the previous rounds firing to do so.
