Students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School return to class Monday, their first day back since organizing one of the largest youth-led protests in US history.
But these teenagers won't be returning to a normal high school experience. Instead, they'll be met with strict security measures which are intended to protect them from another mass shooting but have some students feeling as if they'll be learning in a prison. "Going to school is really so hard, and now it's going to be so much worse," said Isabelle Robinson, a senior. "A lot of the people I've talked to are dreading going back."

LOL. Camera Hogg isn’t going to take going from being a national mouthpiece to doing something as mundane as homework or writing papers. Besides, he knows so much MOAR than his teachers.....[/s]
They don’t know what ‘re-education camps look like’... but if they get their way and disarm American, they might find out - along with the rest of us.

Given the “quality” of these students as seen thus far, ‘twould be best to close that school and have the parents think very seriously about home schooling.
There’s not one qualified to flip burgers, let alone even think about talking about guns (or anything requiring more than touching a cell phone about which they know absolutely nothing, save for using it).
I’m not happy with it. Why are you punishing me for one person’s actions?
That is priceless.
The local Miami media is amplifying the complaints of the crying babies....Oh how unfair that they have to carry clear backpacks. And the “news” is sooooo sympathetic.
I don’t get it. These security measures are all foo foo stuff to show “we are doing something”...never mind the closed barn door\horse thing.
When was the last time a school got shot up again ? ...crickets chirping.
This is why everyone in the future wears silver one-piece leotards.
No pockets or places to hide explosives or weapons.
No, no no, they weren’t supposed to lose their freedom, we were supposed to lose ours.
What does David Hogg have to say out this?
So the same little darlings who can’t seem to stop murdering each other are upset over measures to keep them safe from each other? That’s funny...
“Do the students there like the clear plastic Hogg bags they now have to use for everything?”
LOL! I hope they call them “Hogg bags” or just “Hoggs” from here on. Poor kids. How they gonna hide their weed in those clear backpacks? Let them remember this little Eichman for destroying their privacy, a commodity that is important to a kid that age. How can that schmuck show his face without someone punching it?
I would imagine Hogg isn’t the most popular guy in his school right about now, nor is the Goblina.
Take care in that which you ask for. Your request may be granted.
What the Broward County schools NEED is for ALL students to be given a familiarization course in all kinds of hand weapons, as to identification, capabilities, and relative characteristics of a wide variety of these instruments of potential harm. At least learn that a “scary-looking” AR-15 semi-automatic rifle with a pistol grip, magazine feed, and a shrouded barrel is not significantly different from the older design of the SKS semi-automatic rifles widely used for hunting and marksmanship competitions.
This superstitious dread of guns of ANY kind has had a overall very negative effect on the consciousness of youth as they grow up, to the degree that the mere act of finger pointing between young children and shouting “Bang! Bang!” earns a trip to the principal’s office, and very likely a suspension.
Gun aversion is not gun control, far from it. Fact is, until there is an active shooter in the area, a majority of young people have not a notion of what they would do if suddenly confronted, beyond “scream and shout, dash about”.
A chicken coop into which a fox has just entered is a more organized situation than what is being taught to the youth today.
Thats better than feeling like a down range target
When I was a high schooler MANY years ago,it didn’t have the shootings & other problems that exist now,but it wasn’t wholly enjoyable, either. Guess you can’t have it both ways, kids.
WAS PARKLAND AN IDYLLIC SCHOLASTIC SETTING OR A NIGHTMARE
Only an investigation will either dispel or prove that with those policies enforced. Sudents had all kinds of disciplinary problems (drugs, thefts fights etc) when attending classses there.
Its not guns or the NRA Its policies which had cops standing outside while killing was going on or some nut getting a gun the FBI knew he wasnt suppose to... Plus a whole raft of other stuff
DEMAND STATE AND FED INVESTIGATION ON THE POLICIES WHICH CAUSED THIS
http://www.theusmat.com/index.htm
WHERE WAS THE DEMAND FOR FEDERAL AND STATE INVESTIGATIONS ???? Is the reason governor Scott or Senator Rubio dodn’t call for hearings into Parkland failures is because of law suits ?
