Mexican Senate Threatens to Stop Helping U.S. Against Drug Cartels If Trump Deploys Troops to Border

The Mexican Senate passed a resolution seeking an end to bilateral cooperation with the U.S. against drug cartels and immigration problems after President Trump ordered National Guard troops to the border.

The resolution was passed in a unanimous fashion and sent to the White House, Members of the U.S. Congress, and Mexico’s Foreign Relations Officer, El Universal reported.

“Despite everything that is at stake in the relationship between our two countries, the way in which President Donald Trump has behaved is, for the Mexican people, unacceptable and intolerable,” El Universal quoted from the document.

The resolution demands that President Trump respect the people of Mexico, and notes the Senate “condemns the unfounded and offensive expressions about Mexico and Mexicans and the treatment that is needed for a relationship between neighboring countries, partners, and allies.”

Wasn’t aware they were helping at all. Maybe helping the cartels, but certainly not our officials.

Our own government has as much culpability as Mexico regarding the Drug Cartels, there is a rather long and sordid history of certain government agencies and officials being heavily involved on Both sides of the issue, not to mention laundering money for the cartels, see HSBC.

You can NOT have a war on drugs without drugs.

“The government of Mexico is in the pocket of the drug cartels. At all levels.”

We are close too ...

The government of U.S.A. is in the pocket of the elected politicians. At all levels.

NO! The last thing we want to do is declare war on Mexico because they will lose in no time (will probably just lay down their muskets and go home like many of the Iraqis did in Desert Storm). Then the US will be expected to do the same as we did in Japan and Germany and spend billions to turn a shit hole country into the next global economic success and then be expelled by Mexico with no so much as a thank you.

You don't seem to be noticing that Trump doesn't exactly fall for the "you are expected to" lines.

You're forgetting the possibility of China taking Canada for the fresh water, then heading South.

Or there's the possibility of hordes of militant feminists from Toronto. (They'll make short work of the Acela corridor soyboys.)

Remember that Mexico almost came in on the side of Germany in World War I. Germany promised Mexico it could have Texas and the Southwest U.S.

Maybe we should just ban all us tourism to Mexico for a year and see how Mexico likes THAT.

If there is war with Mexico, then Mexican illegals will be enemy aliens and can be rounded up, it’s no longer an immigration matter, it’s a national security matter under the President’s powers as commander in chief.

IIRC, Comey (yes, THAT Comey) was once on the board of directors of HSBC, and Loretta Lynch (yes, THAT Loretta Lynch) approved the sweeetheart deal when HSBC got caught laundering drug money in the billions of dollars: 1 month's profit.

So now Mexico is telling our Commander and Chief, when we can defend the border of our own Country.

No, more pointedly, the nation of Mexico is threatening the security of the US with the use of violent drug cartels as a weapon. This is not far from an act of war. A military buildup at the border, with more than just the National Guard, is now justified.

If Mexico pulls that one then it is time to close the US-Mexican border and to expel every Mexican diplomat.

There's more than one way to handle this but it sounds like we need even more troops on the border. Bring them home!
