Byron York: Lots of Mueller action, but what about collusion
Washington Examiner ^ | 04/10/2018 | Byron York

Remember collusion? The allegation that Donald Trump and his aides coordinated or conspired with Russia to fix the 2016 presidential election is, and has always been, the heart of the Trump-Russia investigation.

Yet Monday saw two developments in the Trump investigation — one discussed widely in the press, the other not as much — and neither pointed toward collusion.

My car is nine years old, so I dropped my collusion.

Just have liability. Save money.

Mueller sign: “Gone fishin’. Be back when I find fish, any fish.”

Since this latest over-reach is not about Russian ‘collusion’, I can see no reason why Jeff Se Asians could not rein in Mueller.

York assumes that the investigation was about collusion in the first place, but it seems to me that collusion was just a pretext for a Deep State fishing expedition to destroy Trump - somehow, anyhow.

Time for the buzzards to leave Trump alone. He is our president, and I want them to stop picking at him!

There never was any evidence of collusion, and never any real reason for a special counsel.

This is pure political maneuvering, for the purpose of demonstrating to the citizens who still believe that the purpose of elected politicians is to represent our interests that we are *not* in charge.

Washington, DC, has become a giant dysfunctional mess.

Since Mueller is no longer working on the collusion case—why is it that Jeff Sessions can’t unrecuse himself and fire rosenstein—and take charge of mueller since rosenstein is clearly conflicted.

It was never about collusion.

It was about providing an excuse for an open-ended fishing expedition on President Trump’s entire life history. They’ll keep digging until they find something on him or his friends/family.

And even if they don’t, the neverending coverage of the investigation will eventually lead to many voters assuming there’s a fire causing all the smoke. That will embolden his adversaries to work toward his impeachment, especially if the GOPe manages to lose (on purpose?) their majority in the House.

They’ve been laying an elaborate trap since before Inauguration Day. That said, the President is well aware of their intentions. How he counters their current moves will be interesting to watch.

The collusion that mattered was the collusion that put the Kenyanesian Usurper in the White House in violation of the Constitution.
Everything else flows from that.
