Senators to introduce new bipartisan bill to protect Mueller
The Hill ^ | 04/11/18 | Jordain Carney

A group of bipartisan senators is introducing new legislation to limit President Trump's ability to fire special counsel Robert Mueller.

Sens. Cory Booker (D-N.J.). Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Christopher Coons (D-Del.) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) will introduce the legislation, the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act, on Wednesday.

The legislation would let Mueller, or any other special counsel, receive an "expedited judicial review" within 10 days of being fired to determine if it was for a "good cause." If it was determined it wasn't, he would be reinstated.

It would also codify regulations that only a senior Justice Department official can fire a special counsel and that they must provide the reason in writing.

My guess is that these people are currently beholden and being protected by the “Deep State”. The question is why? Are they pedophiles? Are they concerned that Trump’s destruction of pedophile networks in America will come back to hit them? Hmmm...inquiring minds want to know...

Any senator who signs off on this is a traitor.

Its like the Roman Senate voting for the “Praetorian Guard Independence and Integrity Act.”

Let’s neuter all our elected officials by giving even more power to non-elected, permanent DC bureaucrats.

F***ing idiots.

It would be unconstitutional on it’s face, anyway, as it violates the separation of powers.

L O L...

You saying Mueller can’t take care of himself? I thought he was a big boy with all the power?

I am wondering why DJT doesn’t use his power as the most Powerful Man in the World?
Something is scaring him...where is his staff?

I was unaware that they could pass a bill that would take away the Presidents powers. You learn something new everyday.

Highly likely Trump can’t veto it.

Prior to this, there was no oversight on Mueller, now there is. Thanks McGruff.

So we can agree reality and perception are not the same thing. Right? Any attempt to end Mueller can be spun as "obstruction". If we REALLY believe the RINO's are against Trump, that might just be the trap that they're waiting for him to fall into.

Based on how weak he has been in this area I don’t think Trump will veto this.

The only thing that is going to fix this country is a civil war or a Welsh style revival. We are past all other solutions.

There is absolutely zero that would bring that about in the United States. They could show up at your door to seize your firearms, mind you while holding your children at school or away from you, for their safety, and 99.99% of American's would comply. They could haul Trump off in cuffs tomorrow, and 99.99% of American's wouldn't do a damn thing.

The distance between fantasizing about armed rebellion and actual armed rebellion are very far apart.

Putting yourself in harm's way is very easy compared to putting your loved ones in harm's way.

The first step in passing legislation is that it must get through committee, in this case the Judiciary Committees of both houses.
