NBC: Rod Rosenstein Ready to Be Fired

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is fully aware he may be fired soon and is at peace with the possibility, NBC News is reporting.

The news network attributed the information to a source who has spoken to Rosenstein.

That sources, and two others, said they have spoken to him numerous times during his tenure as deputy attorney general. And they note he now seems less anxious than in previous times President Donald Trump has been critical of him.

I read that the President can appoint whomever he wants if they have already been confirmed by the Senate, for anything.

Just because they have been confirmed for one position doesn't mean they can be moved to another. They have to be confirmed all over again.

Trump fired Comey. Rosenstein and Sessions may have recommended it but the President has clearly said all along that he fired Comey and he wrote the letter informing Comey of his dismissal.
