Florida Gov. Rick Scott doesn't talk about climate change.
He notoriously declared "I'm not a scientist" when asked his thoughts on humanity's well-documented impact on the warming planet, banned the phrase in his administration (a charge he denies) and backed up President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris accord.
On Monday, an unusual group intends to sue Scott for ignoring the climate threat: Kids.
Seven young Florida residents — the youngest is 10, the oldest is 20, and one is a University of Miami marine science student— are the named plaintiffs in a lawsuit that seeks to force a state extremely vulnerable to climate-driven sea rise to start work on a court-ordered, science-based "Climate Recovery Plan."
The group is represented by Our Children's Trust, an Oregon-based organization sponsoring similar suits from children around the country at the state and federal level.
In the suit, lawyers accuse Scott and his administration of rolling back or failing to implement any legislation aimed at measuring or cutting back on carbon emissions, as well as ignoring the threat of rising seas on the state's coasts, which provide the economic engine for the tourism-dependent state.
Andrea Rodgers, senior attorney at Our Children's Trust, argues Florida is violating the public trust by failing to protect certain essential natural resources (like beaches) for future generations.

I wish you were the judge. Judges are former lawyers. In college they were rewarded for leftist answers to exam questions,in high school they were bullied and shunned for parties and dates if not leftist. Hogg is only a “useful idiot” because of our “school system/HollyWood (boy-rapers)) because as Lenin knew, they only need your children for four years before they totally control all their perceptions and their ideology for Life. They embed the “proper” emotions/concepts in your children using weaponized TV/video games/music/skools using dopamine hits, addiction, artificial institutions removed from the Natural Family—creating little addicts and immoral, non-thinking, (dehumanized) “bots” like the Brownshirts and Hitler Youth were for Hitler.

I agree. For Ohio and many parts of the Midwest, this is the coldest and snowiest April in many years.
We had a couple of nice days last week. Warmer and pretty. I was going to go out and rake and clean up. I got out there and the wind was so strong that my raking effort failed. I got in my car to go to the store and the wind blew the door and slammed to almost shut on my legs. Ugh, it hurt. lol
