I’m sorry but if the boys have an inviolate right to wear a bra to school then the girls have a right NOT to wear a bra to school.
They don't offend me, but if I were a student there I might find them distracting.
I can’t think of a single instance in which I’ve agreed with a position taken by the American Communist Lawyers’ Union.
If the girl wearing that shirt were to be raped or molested by a student (or staff member) she would sue the school system for millions for allowing such a “provocation” to be displayed.
Why the outrage?
The girl had “nothing to write home about”. If you know what I mean.
I saw a picture of her on one of the previous threads wearing the top that she wore that day. It didn’t exactly look revealing to me.
The school was wrong and went overboard. There are girls whose nipples are visible even when wearing a bra. My wife has large nipples and this is the case with her (she’ll be angry at me if she sees this post but I see it as a positive). All women have breasts, and they can’t be totally concealed so it’s a nothing burger. Some guys go shirtless and have big nipples and not a peep from the morality police. The ACLU is right in this instance to go after the school.
In the late 60’s the Students for a Democratic Society staged a national protest at my high-school. SDS members from all over the country converged on it. They sent a bunch of topless girls running through the halls to hand out anti-Vietnam War literature.
The teachers were traumatized. The male students thought it was pretty damned cool!
There is not one person on this who is offended by a nipple.
Was talking with my grandad about this and he said when he was in HS the fad then was see-through blouses the girls wore.
I never heard this story. Back in my day a ton of high school girls went braless because of all the halter tops and tube tops and, heck, sometimes we just wore a scarf to school as a top. No one said a word. No one was offended. In fact, some of the male teachers seemed to call us more often to come to the front of the classroom.
