A British journalist who interviewed a doctor in the Syrian town of Douma claims he told him there was no evidence of a chemical attack.
Dr Assim Rahaibani, 58, said the video showing children gasping for breath - which triggered the weekend bombing campaign by the UK, US and France - is genuine.
But he explained to Robert Fisk, writing for the Independent, that patients were overcome not by gas but by oxygen starvation in the rubbish-filled tunnels and basements in which they lived, on a night of wind and heavy shelling that stirred up a dust storm.
Donald Trump and Theresa May seized on the video as evidence that Syria's President Bashar al-Assad had crossed a 'red line' in his fight against jihadi forces that have all but been removed from their strongholds in the war-torn country.
Chemical weapons inspectors will be given access to the site on Wednesday (April 18).

Those who are saying this was a gas attack by the Russian/Syrian axis don't seem credible at all and haven't provided any meaningful proof whatsoever to back their assertions.They don't act like they believe their own BS.
I'm actually still willing to be convinced, but the gas attack meme smells like a big steaming pile of s***. What should bother everyone is that nearly nobody in the NY/DC Media/government axis questioned a damn thing from the moment the BS video came out.
But he IS correct. McCain met with ISIS leaders. CIA supplied ISIS with money and arms (see BenGhazi) and Obama was trying to get rid o all secular leaders in order to precipitate the Caliphate he so desparetly tried to institute.
It looks as if there are several people in here that trust Assad and his government more than they trust President Trump....

The Syrian government has never attacked Isreal. The attackers were jihadi scum from Syria who are fighting the government.

As Roger Stone says, I still support Donald Trump, but bombing Syria was a major mistake. More and more reports are coming out showing that no chemical attack happened in Syria.

Israel is indeed our ally. But we were not defending Israel from a Syrian attack when we attacked Syria. Our excuse was chemical weapons, not rockets raining on Israel.
