True story: I know someone here in Florida who got called in by their boss earlier this month for suggesting that the inner city culture might need to be changed. This was after some gang bangers shot four kids in a Miami “urban” neighborhood.

The boss said someone complained about an uncomfortable work environment and that it could be considered racist. Was it worth losing a job?

I didn’t know that Inga Barks was fired. She was outstanding filling in for Levin.

She is a tenured professor and spoke as such implicating the university

Unfortunately, she's been fired from several stations in the years since her husband passed away. She was originally at KMJ in Fresno, but she started drinking and was fired after a public disorderly conduct arrest several years ago. This last station has not given the reason for letting Barks go, but McKay was fired for saying an Hispanic racial epithet.

Both firings were bundled together in the label of "evolving standards" on talk radio.
