PHILADELPHIA
Rashon Nelson initially brushed it off when the Starbucks manager told him he couldn't use the restroom because he wasn't a paying customer.
He thought nothing of it when he and his business partner, Donte Robinson, were approached at their table and were asked if they needed help. The 23-year-old entrepreneurs declined, explaining they were just waiting for a business meeting.

1. You could have purchased something and avoided all this.
2. If you didn't want to purchase something, you could have left and waited outside for your business associate.
3. When the cops showed up and asked you to leave, you could have chosen not to defy them and left.
4. If you have a problem with the actions of the manager, you could have made a complaint to those above her in the chain of management.
You two are 100% at fault for escalating this absurd situation. But you know that already.
Every time I’ve been in a Starbucks, I’ve feared for my financial life.
Which is why I never go in there for their burnt , overpriced crap coffee.
THEY TOLD THE COPS WE WONT LISTEN TO SOMEONE WHO ONLY MAKES $52K A YEAR.
Their behavior was the problem.
MLK Jr WANTED people of all colors to be treated according to their CHARACTER. No one pays attention to that, do they?
“23-year-old entrepreneurs”
I guess “aspiring rap stars” has become too cliche.
Has anyone actually verified that they are “entrepreneurs” rather than staging this for a payoff?
Every time I’ve been in a Starbuck, I’ve feared for my financial life.
They threatened us with muffins and cookies!
The horror.....the horror.....
This action/behavior could very well be their business model.

This entire situation seems staged.
Lol, it really is a racket. I use their beans (sue me, they’re always fresh and BLACK...French Roast), but gave up on drive thru.
You nailed it!
Took dad, ww2 naval officer, old school-— to star butts, when they first got started. the black clad baristas had a heart attack when he said, with “captain on the bridge” command loudness and tone——”3.50 for a g-d dmn f’n cuppa Joe? I could buy five pounds of beans and grind my own for that!!” Which was true.... and with different pricing.... still is.
I saw “entrepreneurs” also... They are attempting to describe the men as important people.
I was always told people treat you the way you dress and present yourself. If they want to be respected as entrepreneurs maybe they should dress and speech like entrepreneurs.
I wonder how they responded to the manager when they were told the bathroom was for paying customers only?
I found from my travels around the world, you have to be aware of your environment as in customs, norms, culture, and stereotypes.
If I am in a black restaurant, I should be aware that the local black culture might have a stereotype of me a white person, and not be offended. I should respond in a respectable way that takes their customs and norms in account. This will help overcome any stereotypes.
So sick of these guys!
The real Starbuck... where he a real person and not a novel character from Moby Dick. IE. who a real whaling “Starbuck” would be from that time-— would have ZERO to do with these west coast frilly tootys who position their “franchises” with their socialist jerk circle pals in local gov and fedgov. The socialist franchise business model. You are right... the People’s coffee (right up there with all the horse crap about enviro-fair organic coffee). What was wrong with Juan Valdez?
The only thing they know for certain is they are victims of racism. Jesse, Al, Louis, Jeremiah, and Barack have told them this many, many times. They can't be wrong.
this whole episode was staged. They wanted to be arrested in hopes of hitting the financial jackpot.
