McCabe: The Inspector General is a Joke and There's No Way I'm Getting Prosecuted

Fired Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe is quite confident the DOJ Inspector General's referral Thursday to the U.S. Attorney for his criminal prosecution is going nowhere.

"We were advised of the referral within the past few weeks. Although we believe the referral is unjustified, the standard for an IG referral is very low," McCabe's attorney released in a statement Thursday afternoon. "We have already met with staff members from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. We are confident that, unless there is inappropriate pressure from high levels of the Administration, the U.S. Attorney’s Office will conclude that it should decline to prosecute."

A reminder of the finding from the IG report:

"We found that, in a conversation with then-Director Comey shortly after the WSJ article was published, McCabe lacked candor when he told Comey, or made statements that led Comey to believe, that McCabe had not authorized the disclosure and did not know who did. This conduct violated FBI Offense Code 2.5 (Lack of Candor – No Oath).

We also found that on May 9, 2017, when questioned under oath by FBI agents from INSD, McCabe lacked candor when he told the agents that he had not authorized the disclosure to the WSJ and did not know who did. This conduct violated FBI Offense Code 2.6 (Lack of Candor – Under Oath)."...

They put harmless Martha Stewart in prison for lack of candor, can do the same to McCabre...

McCabe was put under oath and lied=perjury = felony.

McCabe’s lawyer is the last person I’d be listening to right about now. His job is to be a “zealous advocate”.

You are correct. This is going nowhere. Mr. Magoo Sessions is a toothless old hound who will only protect the Deep State. There will be as many prosecutions as there were for the Benghazi debacle.

Based on what we’ve learned in the past two years about the FBI and DOJ he’s right about one thing: No one in those organizations will do what’s right without pressure from above.

But maybe Comey did this to control the outcome for McCabe — better coming from him than from another office in the FBI?

“It will all hinge on which judge he gets.”......

THAT, those few simple words is what has gone so terribly wrong with out justice system. highly biased and/or dishonest judges.

“begin the construction of multiple trap gallows in Lafayette Park NOW”........ Taking away public hangings, ruled as “cruel and inhuman” treatment, opened the door for the bad guys to do what ever they wanted having no deterrents. Being hung in the public square seemed to be a social event in days gone by.

Legally, what does that mean?

That is why Trump should rely on his surrogates to hit at these guys—and not tweet a peep about them directly.

Too late now, but he has opened the possibility of such a defense from this guy.

Supposedly McCabe was flipped months ago. If so, then he is just posturing for a deal already made. Let’s hope that is so.

Last I heard, Susan rice went to work for Netflix, I called and cancelled that day. I also told them why. They hung up on me when I got to the part of her being an evil anti American communist traitor.

Trying to shift the decision to prosecute to Trump and cloud the issue..

I’m starting to think that is the only way to correct the situation we are in. DC is filled with traitors. They sell us out at every turn to foreign countries and ideologies that are completely opposite of our country’s founding principals.

Hmmmmm... seems to me I recall Hillary making similar mocking protestations regarding her email server investigation. Made me mad and I hated it, but she was proven correct. The fix was in, as has been conclusively demonstrated.

It pains me to say that I see the same thing happening here. I desperately want to believe that the truth will not only be exposed, but ACKNOWLEDGED, not ignored and buried. And that good men and women in places of power and authority will act in the best interests of JUSTICE for AMERICA, meaning prosecution and accountability for the crimes committed. Sadly, too many of these people think what's best for America is that this terrible, corrupt conspiracy is whitewashed because it's too traumatizing to our national psyche.

I have hope and some faith in Mr. Horowitz, but he's not the only player. He can only write his report and send it to the swamp. Referring for criminal investigation or prosecution sounds GREAT -- but who's on the receiving end, and what is their degree of integrity?

The way I see it, Lucy has received the snap and is getting ready to put the point of the football down on the ground...
