Flies!

Fill a quart size baggie with water and put two shiny pennies in the water. Hang it over the location - over the window or doorway.

The pennies are supposed to look like wasp eyes, whch will keep the flies away.

I made a temporary cat-door with two 6-foot long pieces of wood molding, duct tape and cardboard cereal boxes. I fit it to the arcadia door and just have a cat size opening on the bottom. The flies don't notice.
