There was no intel communications because they were using their private back channels in attempts to illegally undermine and compromise a candidate, nominee, then President of the United States.

If you're right, it is quite possible that Anthony Weiner’s laptop holds that data. And therefore the NYPD knew exactly what HRC was planning. And threatened to squeal if Comey didn't reopen the Clinton email investigation. Which then led McCabe to personally retrieve that laptop accompanied by his deputy Strzok. At which point, it is reported that the laptop was held by McCabe and/or destroyed. All still to be unraveled.
