Well, I’ve read probably half a dozen articles on this event, and never once saw anything indicating the suspect comes from a family of cops.

My sensei would advise you to grab the hands and hold them in the pocket, then get him in an armlock and shove him on the ground. Do not allow him to pull anything out. Pity the officers didn’t attend one of the many seminars he did for police. Now one of them is dead, two others shot, because they didn’t regard hands in the pockets as a threat.

Black nationalists may look like young men in their twenties to you or me, but really they’ve suffered slavery and discrimination for the past 500 years. One of the LEOs was off duty, the other was on duty and came in to confirm that he had a warrant out for his arrest. And in all the time between stopping him in the store and waiting for the on-duty cop to show, nobody pinned his hands and took them out of his pockets in a control hold, or frisked the guy. Unbelievable.

Reportedly not what happened. The officers that were shot were on duty.

DPD should be posting the body camera and security camera footage soon, unless the DA says he wants to keep it out of public view to avoid charges of influencing the jury pool. Failing that it will probably leak in a few days anyway.

This wasn’t a targeted shooting. He pulled his gun after they tried to restrain him.

It’s a tragedy but the internet makes things seem like they are happening WAY more often than they are.

It’s the anti gun agenda.

I would guess people are still getting killed by other means at a decent pace but it’s just not reported.
