If you think detransitions are rare, just Google “detransition” and see the multitude of videos from courageous formerly trans people who tell of the peace they have found with their God-given gender through a combination of counseling and faith.
If this bill becomes law, these people will no longer have access to help they choose, because apparently some in California’s government think no one should be allowed to change his or her mind about what constitutes being at peace with one’s sex.
But their intentions would have been good.
Continuing evidence that the Left hates people and is pro-death.
Thereby proving that transgenders are mentally-ill because they are suicidal.
“....if we can save even ONE confused life.....”. Doubt we will be hearing that, related to this legislation.

I don’t understand the mentality of transgender. I cannot identify with it. However, from what little exposure I have to this phenomenon, it is my impression that many of these people are tormented by their circumstances.
It seems to me they should have a right make an effort to seek a satisfactory physical and emotional outcome, regardless of their ultimate lifestyle choice - I think the Constitution refers to it as the “pursuit of happiness”. In my opinion, the legislation curtails fundamental human rights and should be invalidated if enacted.
There is no true “transition” to another sex. There is surgically manipulated and drug supported pretense of a “transition”. The “solustions” hide, hinder and delay diagnosing psychological causes for an obsession, a mental health problem, that demands its own takeover of the personality.
The government has no right to make such a law. No it doesn’t. It has the right to build roads and to protect us from enemies. It does not have the right to force people to detach their dicques or boobies.
how soon before the leftists, in a similar vein, decide to outlaw certain medicines, such as penicillin or various vaccines that some folks don’t like?

I post this over and over again. Bad things happen when governments pretend:
The U.S. government pretended that black people weren’t fully human and allowed legalized slavery to continue.
The German government pretended that Jewish people weren’t fully human and the result was the Holocaust.
Many governments pretend that preborn people aren’t fully human and the result is millions and millions of human deaths from abortions.
Many governments are pretending that homosexuality is normal and the result is self-inflicted problems like this
And that’s what the “progressives” are aiming for.
