RUSH: Lets get to Korea. This is too juicy. This is just too juicy as to whats going on. Now, folks, I dont want to diminish it. Im not trying to suggest that its not important because it clearly is. But you should know that members of the Trump administration are not buying into this yet, and Trump is still saying that hes gonna be prepared to walk out if he thinks anything about this is not on the up and up. It is historic. This is the first North Korean, communist, potbellied dictator to actually walk across the border into South Korea.
The South Koreans have gone north since 1954, but the North Koreans have never come south. Theyve never crossed the DMZ. Kim Jong-un did. Believe me, he wants to eat, and theyre running out of that in North Korea. Theyre probably running out of Johnnie Walker Blue Label in North Korea as well. You gotta go to the south to get it. Weve seen the pictures of the South Korean president smiling and hugging with Kim Jong-un and, by the way, the image remake on Kim Jong-un is well underway.
On Twitter you can find, This guys so cute! This is so cute! We love this guy! supposedly from South Koreans. Hes so cute. Man, this guy could do stand-up, this guys so funny. Its amazing how mass murderers get romanticized by the American left. At any rate, everybodys saying, What happened here? Why all of a sudden ? I mean, just months ago this guys threatening to launch a nuclear missile and hit California.
And then Trump starts calling him rocket man and Trump starts saying, Were not gonna put up with this. Youd better think twice about this. He sent Pompeo over there to talk with him, secret meeting, and all of a sudden Kim Jong-un
Theyre having a peace summit today. It probably already happened cause theyre 12, 14 hours ahead of us over there. Its 1:30 in the morning or 2:30 there. Its in that ballpark. They may be 10 hours ahead. Im not sure.
Klone Jong-un
President Trump is wise to play this carefully. This will either be a tremendous victory or he is being played by the dictator Un.
His response shows diplomatic sophistication, something his critics said he didn’t have.
Makes you wonder. Kim Jon In was educated in Switzerland. He’s seen the West, went to college there. So it may very well be true that he misses his Johnny Walker Black, and the other fruits of prosperity.
Agree about the diplomatic sophistication. He puts his opponent in a position where it’s in their self-interest to “do the right thing”. For POTUS-VSG, negotiating with NK is a piece of cake compared to those killer bankers and politicians in New York and Chicago.
If you can make it here, you’ll make it anywhere...
We should know soon enough whether Kim is serious or not.
He has evidently sworn off more nuclear or missile testing.
We should be able to see activity in the region.
If he’s reeling back his programs, it should be easy enough to see.
None of us can say with certainly this will ultimately turn out good or bad. For right now we have to wait and see.
I see no reason not to be hopeful. I don’t think anyone is going into this blindly. Trust but verify is certainly a part of the process.
What I would urge folks to do, is act as if Kim is being honorable. There is nothing to gain by insulting the guy and calling him a damned liar.
Let him feel like he’s done the right thing and it will pay off for him and his nation.
I’m leery of the press and Democrats trying to deep six the realization of the hopes we all have.
Insulting the guy, telling him we don’t believe him for a moment, and other such negative slams might turn the whole thing on it’s head, if it get overdone.
> President Trump is wise to play this carefully.
He’s playing it great. The people dealing with that problem should be the people that live around there. Let the Koreans make their own deal and then get US troops the hell out of there.
Like this...
The leaders of North and South Korea have committed themselves to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and pledged to bring a formal end to the Korean War, 65 years after hostilities ceased.
In a remarkable day-long summit that weighed heavy with symbolism, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his North Korean counterpart, Kim Jong Un embraced, planted a tree and talked alone for more than 30 minutes.
Then they signed the Panmunjom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity and Unification on the Korean Peninsula, which commits the two countries to denuclearization and talks to bring a formal end to conflict. It was a dramatic conclusion to the first meeting between leaders of the two countries in 10 years.

Nice report. Thanks for the link.
Sounds pretty good.
Most welcome, things are moving very quickly now...
Get popcorn while you can, the pigs are really starting to squeal the closer they get to the slaughterhouse
Down She Goes....
The stickler I see, is how the North Combines with the South knowing the difference between the oppressive Communist dictatorship, and the open society down South.
NOKO will soon become a thirsty customer for our precious LNG.
People focus on the people that Kim has killed.
But it occurred to me....what if he’s been killing the people that he knew would be opposed to him making overtures towards South Korea? You would think there would have to have been some in the North Korean government that wouldn’t be too thrilled about this. But has Kim already killed them off?
They want their KDramas, too, LOL!
Does Mohamed go to the Mountain, or the Mountain to Mohamed
The Koreans will work it out, we did after the Civil war. the people in the North are hungry and the South has all the right stuff.
Same with the reunification of East and West Germany...
Both sides in Korea agree that they will not be nuclear, they just want to be one again and China is not gonna push them like Mao did to be a proxy
All is Well...
I won’t believe it even when I see it. NK has taken our money and broken agreements too many times. They take us for fools. Kim has had no change of heart, he is the same butcher. A leopard doesn’t change its spots. The Chinese probably slapped Kim’s hand after his testing tunnels collapsed - they don’t want radioactive fallout. I think Trump had little impact on Kim.
A few Q for you. How does a deep tunnel collapse lead to a “chimney” structure in a shattered mountain? Ever heard of Project Thor or Rods from God? Would you have known we have a stealth helo had one not crashed taking out OBL? Pot bellied pig was trying to match what we did in 1945. We did not stand still in weapons.
We dropped a precision guided telephone pole (Slightly larger) sized ceramic coated tungsten rod from high orbit on that mountain when our sats saw 3/4ths of his nuke team were in there. It comes down at something like Mach 40 (30,000 mph). It hits like a nuke with no fallout.
Ever wonder why Mattis talked about kinetic actions? That is a kinetic weapon. It shattered the mountain leaving a chimney structure and destroying everything inside.
Wouldn’t NK scream bloody murder if we actually did that?
They don’t know. China knows. Russia knows. It was as much a quit your crap to China as it was a quit your crap to Un getting called on the carpet by Xi. Xi doesn’t want NORK nuke fallout.
“Kid, I met this dude. He is solid. You should accept his invite to MaraLago. Quit being a PIMA. Here is a free golf cart pass.”
I actually learned the rules to 3d chess being the geeky tech nerd I am. Didn’t bother to learn Klingon because as we all know they get wiped out around Uranus. ;-)
I believe the deal is already done and irreversible (fire and brimstone consequences). Now the political story must be played out to transition to a new reality.
Believe it or not: the dems actually played a small roll in the success by portraying Trump as a mad man that shouldn’t be allowed access to the nuclear codes. That helped convince Kim that the scenario President Trump dropped on the table was very real. That will make the dems heads explode if Trump mentions it or if they figure it out (not likely).
