Mueller raised possibility of presidential subpoena in meeting with Trump's legal team

Some legal experts believe that two Justice Department opinions prohibit federal prosecutors, including Mueller, from charging a president with a crime. Instead, they said, the Constitution relies on Congress' power to impeach as the route to hold a president accountable for potentially criminal behavior.

Trump's lawyers could then argue that he cannot be forced to testify under subpoena, unless his testimony is necessary to indict someone else.

“Mueller has already decided Trump is guilty. They’re just going thru the motions to pretend the process is “legal”. They’ll subpoena him, legal or not. It then doesn’t matter if Trump honors the subpoena. If he doesn’t, they’ll charge him. If he does, then his answers don’t matter. He’s already guilty. Coup complete.”

Except for the fact that you cannot indict a sitting president... this might be an idea.

I heard Jay Sekulow named as someone who took notes at meetings. Don’t know if there is an attempt to name him as the leaker.

He certainly is smarter than that and has a daily radio program if he wanted to put something out there.

Could this be an attempt to take down The Center For Law & Justice?

“..can Mueller force Trump, or anyone, to say what they were thinking?”

First, I would not talk to them under oath, there would be no cameras or stenographers, and every question would be answered “I don’t recall”.

Trump's doing everything a President's suppose to do... unemployment's down, the economy's fine, foreign problems are being solved... what are you talking about?

If Mueller issues a subpoena it will become clear that he wants to take down a sitting President for no substantive reason and that is treason.touche

If the 5th and 9th don't work, his thoughts could also be classified above top secret.

“.....Presidential issues aside, it seemed many of Mueller’s questions are about what Trump was thinking during a particular event. Is that something a court can compel ANYONE to testify to? Do we lose the privacy of our own thoughts when we take the stand?......”

By asking Trump what his thoughts are then Mueller wants to use that to establish INTENT toward obstruction on any thing else he wants to charge the President with.

After all, Hillary didn’t have Intent, but Trump will.
