Confidants of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., told the White House that President Trump won’t be invited to the ailing senator’s funeral, according to a new report.
Plans for McCain’s funeral, according to the New York Times, include an invite for Vice President Mike Pence, but not the president. The service will be held at Washington’s National Cathedral.

If it is indeed true I doubt they were trying to be kind to Trump and his busy schedule. :-) If could mean they think Trump would be a distraction and don't want him there. Again -- the whole thing seems far fetched to me. When long-time senators die usually Presidents attend the funeral. In addition McCain ran for President as a Republican and Trump is the defacto head of the Republican Party.
Trump is damned if he does, and damned if he doesn’t. Either way the MSM will develop some $hit narrative to trash him.

The one positive note from this playground-like adolesent behavior is that it appears McCain hasn’t much time left. Meanwhile he has a lifetime of last minute screw jobs for his supposed political party of choice before ambling off to collect his 72 virgin reward. Although he may not have publicly declared thimself a 72 virgin seeking boy lover while living he no doubt has high expectations of an Honorary 72 Virgin Award.
In closing I would like to send out a prayer for someone who recently passed and really will be missed; Gunnery Seargent R. Lee Ermey. Hey Gunny, if you happen to bump into McCain while crossing in the hallway between Heaven and Hell please shout out the following to him as he decends and you ascend: “Hang in there John, Hillary Clinton will be down to join you before you know it.”
I guess Trump will have to spend his time that day with people who matter more, since after all ...

I’ve been saying for some time that Trump should beat them to the punch and announce that he won’t attend the funeral out of respect for the fast
McCain writes a book about civility returning to Washington then he pulls this.
McCain has always said he’s no hero. Then went ballistic when Trump agreed with him.
One last thing. Trump should forbid all military from attending.
