I cannot help but feel sorry for McCain....not only a very small man to the very end, but a very angry and bitter man. That has to be a very horrible way to live to be that bitter.

One suspects that for McCain, Trump represents the ultimate embarrassment.

McCain's strat for POTUS win was to play the mythical middle, and try to RINO charge the election. He must have been certain that at least some of his alleged buddies in the media would have supported him for all the pottying on his party and Country.

Trump won by representing himself as a strongly pro- American, pro-border securing patriot, a characterization that McCain tended to avoid. A political "novice" upstages an untrustworthy "maverick" with appeals to traditional Americans.

McCain did and does have a legitimate beef w Trump when during the election season, Trump stated “He’s not a war hero...He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.” I suspect that this unfortunate remark explains much, if not most, of McCain's animosity toward Trump.

Many of our finest Heros were , indeed, captured. And, it took a lot of guts and skill to fly A-4s off ships and into combat, attacking at low altitudes in a minimalist, subsonic airplane. There was no excuse for Trump's statement. (Some here do not agree, we'll agree to disagree.)

That said, considering the Traditional America-hating Mister Obama as a eulogist explains much of what we have always suspected about what a RINO weasel is Mister McCain.

The “hero” statement may not have been in good taste but like so many of POTUS statements it exposes a truth. Being captured doesn’t make you a hero. Your service makes you a hero. McCain sang under pressure and this would nullify his “hero” status to many. POTUS was too kind to make this point directly so he shone some light in a dark corner to make us think.

Why did McCain refuse to allow any search for the missing military in Vietnam, why did he always block legislation that would benefit servicemen & women? What was he hiding? How could he turn his back on his comrades? Hero?
