Met McCain in the summer of 2007 in NH and I turned to my wife and said “he ain’t serious about this, just checking a box”. His campaign was designed to run against Hillary and once Obama started to win, they fell apart. The guy had no desire to attack the black guy.
He was a ‘filler’...that’s all. The GOP in 2008 had no intention of spending real money except on senate seats.
