White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah said Monday that President Trump does not agree with a controversial pastor's claim that Jews are going to hell.

"I haven't seen those remarks, but obviously those aren't remarks that the president agrees with," Shah said at the daily White House press briefing.

Shah was specifically responding to Dallas megachurch leader Robert Jeffress' remark that adherents of various religions will go to hell for not holding a specific view of Jesus. Jeffress said a prayer Monday at the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.

” Talmud is a series of texts expounding on the bible. Torah is the bible. Many of the documents therein are medieval.”

The Torah is the first five books of the Bible.

The Tanakh is the entirety of what Nazarenes call the “Old Testament.”

The Talmud is the oral law, given to Moshe at Mt. Sinai. Because it was passed orally, it came to be written from a number of sources, some better preserved and transcribed than others. It also contains the opinions and decisions of either those quoted or of later persons.

Because the oral law was not perfectly transcribed and preserved, there are many conflicts within what we have to today. It is hard to tell when the oral law is being quoted and what is someone’s opinion.

As a result, the Talmud is a difficult document and easily causes problems if not read in context and with knowledge. I do not encourage reading it unless under the tutelage of a knowledgeable teacher.

I appreciate your note to look at this post, and the post itself.

It is informative and certainly helps folks like me who have never been instructed on these three documents, the Torah, the Tanakh, and the Talmud.

I find it interesting.

Your explanation of the the Talmud and how personal opinion seeped in to cause confusion is good to know.

Nice post...

Thank you.

And you can also quote the scriptures that say that in the end of this age all the Jews will be saved can you not?
