Just recently came across this myself. Would love to know the whole of it. Suspect she wasn’t involved. Trump would never appoint her.
Of course, there may well be more than meets the eye.
If her ideology aligns with John Brennan then she is likely to stab Trump in the back, and in the front too. But it's hard to find a person for this job who does not have the delusion that "The Russians" did something that significantly helped Trump but they can't tell us what that is.
In my opinion, Brennan is the embodiment of what we never need - a political, treasonous CIA director. I hope Haspel is different, but just because Dems voted against her is not a convincing argument.
