"...CIA Director Gina Haspel..."

Will not ANYONE listen to the heartfelt pleas of September 11th attack architect Khalid Sheik Mohammed and his wishes she not be confirmed? Anyone!?!?

Closest I can find right now, from The Hill:

The Senate on Thursday confirmed Gina Haspel to lead the CIA despite engrained opposition over her involvement in the George W. Bush-era interrogation program.

Senators voted 54-45 to confirm Haspel, making her the first female director of the spy agency.

GOP Sens. Rand Paul (Ky.) and Jeff Flake (Ariz.) sided with most Democrats in voting against Haspel. GOP Sen. John McCain (Ariz.), who was captured and tortured during the Vietnam War, also opposes her nomination but is in Arizona battling brain cancer.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), the vice chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) and red- and purple-state Democratic Sens. Joe Donnelly (Ind.), Joe Manchin (W.Va.), Bill Nelson (Fla.) and Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.) supported the nominee.

Good ol MSM, editorializing in the very first sentence.

Kinda like, "Barack Hussein Obama defeated John McCain today, becoming the first-ever African American to win the presidency, despite rumors of past drug use and allegations that he isn't a native-born American."

There’s that ‘controversy’ word again. Journalists could not say anything about good people if they didn’t have the ‘controversy’ word to throw around.

Vote was 54-45 in favor.

Six Democrats helped Republicans in confirming Haspel: Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Sen. Joe Donnelly of Indiana, Sen. Bill Nelson of Florida, Sen. Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, and Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia – most of whom are up for re-election this November in states Trump won handily in 2016.

Two Republicans opposed Haspel’s nomination: Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Jeff Flake of Arizona.

Pompeo was also loyal, hence why he’s now secretary of state. I think we can make a fair assumption that Gina was viewed favorably in Pompeo’s eyes to be a worthy successor.
If he felt she was a swamp creature bureaucrat, he would have let Trump know.

Now we just need to clean house in November to give us a more comfortable and friendly majority and then we can boot Sessions out and confirm a replacement with ease who will do the job that needs to be done.

The Trump administration should launch an aggressive counter-intelligence investigation against all their political opponents including Liz Warren, Cory Booker, Joe Biden and any other democrat considering a presidential run in 2020.

Give them a taste of their own, nefarious medicine.

Maybe Paul has bought in to the suggestions, of some, that she oversaw the London/CrossfireHurricane op, as that region’s director.

Others have said she had no oversight to that operation.

So she supported using every legal tactic against cold blooded mass-murderers in order to keep Americans safe? Sounds good to me.

Bravo! Irene Kennedy finally gets the top job. RIP Vince Flynn.

I have to say Trump is really on a roll this week, and even the MSM has begun reporting that Dems chances of winning Congress are sinking fast.
